This Is One High-Energy Concert!
ccthemovieman-122 February 2008
This 70-minute concert was filmed in December of 1999 and then aired a few months later, and you could see "the boys" were delighted to be on this famous music show. I believe it was their first appearance, and they not only smiled and joked through it all but gave it 100 percent and the audience ate it up.

This is a "high energy" concert, if I ever heard one. Be ready to be blasted with loud material. There are no ballads in this hour-plus of music. The song list was as follows: 1 - Edge Of Forever; 2 - What s Your Name; 3 - That Smell; 4 - Medley (Down South Jukin / Needle And The Spoon / Whiskey Rock A Roller / Swamp Music / The Ballad Of Curtis Loew); 5 - Workin; 6 - Gimme Three Steps; 7 - T For Texas; 8 - Sweet Home Alabama and 9 - Free Bird

My favorite was "T For Texas," maybe because I really enjoyed the keyboard solo by Billy Powell. His intro on "Free Bird" also was outstanding. The rest of the concert is mainly three guitars blasting away at you with Ronnie Van Zant belting out the vocals. It ain't for the feint of heart!
