A little dissapointed of no Crisis ref., but still enjoyed ( 8,5/10 )

Warning: Spoilers
I actually enjoyed episode, full of flashbacks, i am really sorry about Andrea's fate and finally Leviathan is being developed. Much more interesting storyline than this boredoom with Ma'alefa'ak and obsidian ( despite i always loved MMH storylines ). Pros: -Friendship between Andrea and Lena -Mysterious
  • Lex and Jack Spheer are back in flashbacks + references to big events in previous seasons like Cadmus or myriad
  • Also liked more Rip Roar here than in previous episode
  • Finally at last interesting villain
Cons:
  • So 6 episodes past and no crisis reference ?! Jesus.. Dreamer could at least as prophecy have some dreams about this event, destruction of 38th universe etc.
  • Kara and J'onn became jobbers again in combats what pissed me off ! Kara somehow couldn't use x-ray to find acrata in darkness and oneshot her with heatvision. And J'onn again wasn't using his strenght and telekinetic powers also to oneshot Acrata allowing himself to be captured into this prison cell + didn't even shielded agents from this device. Samy with Brainy how got beaten by Alex Danvers what was stupid

Lena, Interrupted
Anonnamus6 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Man, finally a good episode! We got a little more insight into why Lena is how she is, plus we got a taste of the mind control device she created. No relationship drama, no angsty monologues, just story progression and background history of two former friends and the cause of the rift between them. Here are some random thoughts.

  • How lucky for Lena that she is the only person in the entire world to find that medallion, and on the first try!

  • That old lady is creepy as all get out. She's bizarro June Cleaver.

  • Some people might slash tires or unfriend each other on Facebook when betrayed by someone close. Lena loses trust in the entire human race and dabbles in mind control. There is overreacting and then there is Lena.

  • Andrea and Russell were a really cute couple once I realized Russell wasn't actually Jack Spheere halfway through the episode.

  • I need these contacts that only take a wave of two fingers to put on. Oh, wait. They probably already had the contacts on and they are just turning them on with the finger wave. Never mind.

  • The world really does need a scientist like Lena Luthor. She can develop anything you ask her to within 42 minutes. Vaccines, mind control thingies, Kryptonite, Haraun-El, etc.

  • Aww, not Jack Spheere is dead. For someone who has been working for Leviathan and know what they are capable of, they both were quite naive to think they could escape their grasp.

Callbacks to previous episodes were scattered throughout and had my attention from the start. This is the Supergirl I like to see!

WOW WOW WOW

Okay i am a Luthor fan so this episode was so incredible to watch. The depths of Lena's character is explored and i have to say she may be one of the most complicated characters in the arrow verse or on TV. We all know the arrow verse has issues with timelines so ignoring the fine details of time i think it is easy to say this was one of the best episodes supergirl has aired. Definitely in the top ten. Overall if you want to understand the conflict in this season and make reason of Lena's actions i would watch this episode. I think after this episode the ground work has been laid for an incredible season . I can't wait !

I loved it!

Lena is the most interesting character to ever be created. She has so many layers. You cannot explain her using only few words.

This episode is very important in connecting all the dots relating to Lena and Andrea. It not only gives us a better understanding of their actions, but also keeps up with the continuity from 3 seasons before.

It's amazing how almost everyone in this universe is somewhere in the grey area. It makes them more complicated to write. The talented writers are doing a tremendous job in nevigating and weaving their storylines while taking everything into consideration.

Losing interest
MsGeeke12 November 2019
First, it was stretching it that someone as savvy as Lena Luther hadn't figured out Kara was Supergirl. Second, while being open about yourself may bring people closer, it's not obligatory that you share everything. Nor is it a betrayal and Lena even admitted last season that she was just as guilty of keeping secrets. You'd think someone with that kind of insight into their own behavior would be less judgmental. You'd think that someone would stand up to that expectation. The idea that Kara not revealing her identity was such a horrible slap in the face that Lena turns evil is ridiculous. This episode looked like an effort to explain why it bothered Lena so much, but all it did was repeat the same silly theme.. There are so many creative ways to build a storyline where Lena turns dark, but they chose the one that makes her seem like a vindictive whiny child. I'm disappointed.

Very Good Episode

This was a very good episode that explained the relationship between Lena and Andrea, and kept continuity very well. One of the best of this season so far.

AMAZING

Warning: Spoilers
Ps: Sorry for my English It was the best episode so far (from this season and even of the show) ! We learned more about lena's past and why she feels so betrayed. She had a rough life, and I felt so sad for her. Also we discovered the evolution of lena and kara relationship and were Andrea comes from . The fact that this episode wasn't kara's centric feels like a renewal, and I really appreciate that !

Everytime Lena Kieran Luthor is the center of a episode... The episode become great. I loved the flashback and Lena smart plan. She played Andrea really good. I hope Lena gets her mental powers like in the comics.

I think I'm going to start skipping this show after the crossover
wmmurphy00011 November 2019
This episode was 80% filler. The direction the show is going now feels like they are throwing stuff in to fill time. Once the crossover is done for the season, I'm done watching this show. I did like the series, just feels like it's dying season.

Weakest episode of the season
djriter-3901011 November 2019
They spent an entire episode giving us information that could've been covered in 10 or 15 minutes they baited us thinking it was one thing with the promo and gave us something else that quite frankly bored me And took one character practically passed the point of redemption by committing the ultimate sin that Supergirl will never forget their actions put Supergirl sister in danger.

Terrible fast paced episode

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is extremely fast paced, and overall just terrible. However, I did enjoy seeing Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor again.
