Connie Mack

Warning: Spoilers
** SPOILERS** The late Connie Mack said "You can't win 'em all". I think that at the time he had just set a record for the longest losing streak in baseball history. Well, this one was a hiccup, at worst. The only real problem I have with it is Dan Mathews being the rescuer. I know - He was the star, and all that, but I think they could have given the actual rescue to Sergeant Walters (Stuart Whitman). Then, when the other guys arrived. right on the heels of Dan and the guy's wife, they already had a stretcher with them. If you watched the episode, they didn't have it before.

Still and all, it was a pretty good show. I didn't see the usual "drive safely" warning from Broderick after the drama. Nobody got shot, no car chases, no criminal activity in this one, just great community service which is all to often forgotten with today's headlines. I gave it an 8.

Highway Patrol Saves the Day

Warning: Spoilers
A newlywed couple goes camping in the California mountains and falls down a cliff. The wife goes for help but is too injured to tell police where to find her injured husband. A doctor diagnoses her with amnesia. Highway Patrol officers find a clue to the identity of the couple in the inscription in her wedding ring. Officers go to extraordinary lengths to identify and locate the husband. This episode showcases the dedication of law enforcement officers. Although this show was filmed in the 1950's, it highlights the importance of police officers, especially in situations where regular citizens are injured and in need of assistance. Thank your local law enforcement officers for their service.

Pretty idiotic that the woman won't talk!
imdb-2528819 August 2021
It's not that she can't talk, it's that she won't. The actress stands there like a lug, staring at the other actors. Look, I don't care that she was written like that, I don't care that it was the 50's and I don't care that she's got amnesia. She hasn't forgotten how to stand and walk and stare at people, therefore she CAN TALK!!! You just can't help but want to rearrange her daylights so she'll talk. It's like she is doing it on purpose. The whole episode was idiotic. Boy, the masses were entertained by not much of anything back when! I'm only giving it 2 stars because I read that this site doesn't count 1/10 stars and they don't matter for the total. I don't know why, I don't even know if it's true. No matter: this B&W episode SUCKED!
