A few thoughts/questions..
Appilif19 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Simon had to literally explain to Daphne how to be intimate with herself, shouldn't this have made him release that she was clueless about anything to do with sex? That when he told her that he couldn't give her children (word for word " I can't give you children") that she literally wouldn't know to ask him how he knew this? That she was totally oblivious to anything having to do with sex and how children came to be.. And how come he didn't simply throw/roll her of him when she stopped him from "pulling out" as he had in previous occasions?

Thoughts?

Honeymoon
vivianla27 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Daphne and Simon have lots of honeymoon sex. The servants listen in.

Anthony is outraged his brother asked Miss. Thomson to marry him. He blames himself saying he should have taken him to brothels in London because he is still green. So he wants to marry her right away to have sex. The brother assures that is not the case.

Daphne is told she does not have to do any servants' work but she does not mind.

Daphne asks the friendly maid in her bedroom in the servants' quarters how a child is conceived. Daphne reassures her that her mother told her nothing.

During sex Daphne lets Simon lead then she goes on top and rides him until he cannot stop. Simon asks what did she do and she replies she took advantage of him. She learned that he is not actually unable to have a child. He can perform the act. He just does not want a child.

In the papers it is revealed that Marina Thomson has a baby and was pregnant ever since she first stepped into the city.

Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan)
aab8746 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Favorite scene with

Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) - Tricking/Forcing/Furiously confronting Simon regarding the fact that he had lied to her about not being able to give her children.

Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) - Comforting a very upset Penelope in the Gardens.

Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) - Going through Marina's things to find her letters from George and discovering that they're fake. Despite telling Marina, she (Marina) still wants Colin. Begging Marina not to elope with Colin - especially because of her unborn child not being his. Marina realizes that Penelope loves Colin and tells her that her feelings are nothing but a childish fantasy which will never be reciprocated.

baby mama drama
Calicodreamin29 December 2020
Baby mama drama everywhere you look. Decent enough storyline, though still dreadfully mundane and a bit predictable. Love the costumes and decent acting, really enjoyed Daphne in this episode.

I don't like this episode at all!
hiralpatel-4275225 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It is just because of that scene why couldn't you just remove that scene if it was already so problematic in the book!

Any episode after this is just worse. She never admitted that she did something horrible.

The last episode for me.
wz-3721718 March 2023
I gave this series a chance. I hoped that once the wedding night was over we could go to the other characters for some interesting plot points and dialogue, and we did get a few minutes of Miranda being the entitled victim and George the horrible criminal, over their consensual affair, in the typical contemporary view.

However, 90% of the episode was Daphne and Simon having sex. Really? Is that what the screen writers do when they can't think of anything else? Is that all the 14 year-old audience wants to see?

Well, I'm an adult and I think watching sex is like watching people eat. It's nice when you're doing it, but boring when it's someone else.

Sex saved it all
lluca-4774813 January 2021
If it wasnt for the love scenes, it would be nothing of it. No real erotic tension, no romantic lines, no humor, no meaningful connection. Just sex.
