Clash of ideals
Mike56_15 July 2021
Giorno and diavolo have different prospectives of fate, Giorno hated the mafia for affecting the lives( fate ) of others through the selling of drugs, while Diavolo sees it as a way to control/manipulate people, showcasing that the concept of fate to diavolo is something that can be controlled and manipulate by the strong. Diavolo sees him self as above fate shown by his stand and actions being able to escape the concept of fate it self, while Giorno sees fate as something that is unavoidable, but something that should be accepted this is shown through GER, their battle is a battle of ideals Diavolo belief of fate is something that can be changed, while Giornos belief is fate is something that is absolute, Giorno wins the fight because no one is above fate, fate is unavoidable it's something you have to accept whether you like it or not and if you try escaping your fate it will lead to a greater misfortune which is shown through the Infinte death loop. Golden experience requiem is the embodiment of fatalism.

Warning: Spoilers
I love this show so much but I really do just hate this part of part 5 this fight was so unsatisfying and golden experience requiem is just too over powered
I felt like it would have been better if we knew more about diavolo and why he his they way his his I know the back story is supposed to. Be confusing but this is one of those moments for me where bizarre isn't an excuse diavolo is a weak villain because it kinda just seems he evil just to be evil and there's no real motivation other than he wants to stay on top unopposed. He is a weak villain compared to the others to the pillar men: they have been trying for thousands of years to become ultimate beings to rule over man. Dio came from a broken home took his anger out on Jojo and then when he came back hated the jostar bloodline because of what they did to him, Kira wanted to have a peaceful life and kill without worry, diavolo mentally insane person who wants to keep his job. I don't know it felt like could have just given him a good drive to why and how he is the boss
And there's no real steaks
Giorno wants to be the boss and when he takes over what's he gonna do the Italian gangs main
Source of money comes from drugs I'm all for getting drugs of the street but that's almost impossible and now Giorno would become exactly like diavolo so even if ether one wins the outcome would be almost the same. There doesn't always need to be some outrageous steaks like in part 2 3 or 6 but it was hard enough for me to try to care for those two characters at least have some plot to back it up
Giorno was just bland and outshined but the other gang members for me to care and diavolo I just met like 6 episode ago and still know nothing about him
And the lead up was a mess too
First we have pollnareff telling them to come to Rome but it didn't even have to be polnareff it could have been some random dude we just met but whatever then he has a stand arrow out of nowhere to power up to beat king crimson i was hoping that they would find a way to beat him with what they got instead of a random power up that came out of nowhere.
Now polnareff uses the arrow to get chariot requiem to get the arrow away from diavolo then puts them to sleep and dose a soul swap this part I could not care less then bucciarati dies to destroy chariot I think he should have just died on episode 20 it was supposed to an emotional moment but I was just like on ok he's dead...cool Then Giorno gets the arrow and it's just over king crimsons ability dose nothing to GER and he gets punched and dies anticlimactic to get stuck in a infinite death loop undeserved I know he killed Narancia and abbacchio and it make it feel justified but in the big picture it was just what he had to do to defend his job But overall I love this part but the end always annoys me because of the weak protagonist and weak antagonist, the lead up and the lackluster fight.
