'Blind Mellow Jelly" is a saying my brother and his buddies have for someone that is smooth. Eric Malone fits that mold. He's a "True Southern Boy" (non-derogatory/disrespectful sense) in his smooth, calm, and slow speaking and actions. He leads his team without attitude or drama and puts his money where his mouth is. Although the show isn't a fast-pace reality series, it has some cool drag racing scenes and interesting "behind the curtain" mechanical wisdom for a novice in the sport. It's kinda like watching a bunch of knowledgeable gear head buddies making a good extra buck with their hobby!!!

A show that has great potential with the wrong leader.

Warning: Spoilers
As a fan of everything automotive this show started off great. Season 1 was a little cheesy but good. Season 2 started becoming drama filled and went away from what it should be. Season 3 is just a drama filled disappointment. Eric Malone has to be the most childish person on the show crying about everything. If they would drop the ridiculous drama and the clueless leader and get back to racing it could be a great show.
Just Another drama

If you want a quality car show watch roadkill, roadkill garage and engine masters or watch youtube channels like cleetus mcfarland and fasterproms.
On this show they spoonfeed the audience.
They will tell you horsepower number but wont even tell you what engine is in the car.
Just not good
Mostly Blow, Very Little Go

There is way too much jawin' and not enough action. They need to step up the real racing and back off the bench racing. In my youth we raced till we broke or midnight, which ever came first. And many times if we made it to midnight, we'd head to the warehouse district and bang gears until the cops came wailing in.
Most of the talk is soap-operish and tiresome. But, if that's the format that the show runners have settled on, so be it.
BTW...spoilers? Not much to spoil when it's mostly "blow" and "very little go."

Real people with cars regular joes can relate to

This show seemed redundant at 1st with Street Outlaws on Discovery, but once you watch you'll see that its a good show with real people that drive cars we can all relate to. Street Outlaws was and is still a good show but for the regular joe racers its so far out of touch. This show and the people in it seem genuinely happy and love racing. There are moments where drama arises but if you grudge race you know that's really part of the game. Sometimes tempers flare and arguments arise but they uaually have them squashed and are all friends again after. They win some they lose some but from where i sit it looks real. I hope they keep making the show but most of all i hope they keep it real and don't go the same path as the SO guys. Money changes who you are and puts you out of touch with your audience.
Great Show!
