Paul Thomas, hiding as "Chuck Lords", screwed up this Vivid Video introduction to a new starlet (graduate of Penthouse Petdom) Brea Lynn with this very poorly made feature. It was hiding in IMDb as a Brea Bennett movie (NOT) until I filed an edit to fix that today.
Brea is so similar looking to Jenna Jameson it isn't funny: same fake boobs, even the same face. Premise of PT's script is that she becomes the fantasy girl for Van Damage, a Walter Mitty character running a book shop and living on a houseboat.
After seeing her once on the street he seems to see her everywhere, and very early in the film the distinction between reality and imagination is shattered/discarded. That serves to make the movie seem fake (which it is) and kill the viewer's interest in any story or characters, fatal to the show's purpose of generating interest in a potential new Vivid girl and superstar (NOT).
So watching the forgotten feature 15 years later I felt sorry for Brea Lynn, her career nipped in the bud. Van Damage's obsession with her is no different than any fan's attraction to a hot new porn starlet, but it's clear that a human being is being discarded in the process.
To run that thought into the ground, the all to real situation is thousands of teenage girls (and some older) who yearn for porn stardom are, if lucky, merely exploited for the requisite one or two hundred quick f*cking assignments before the camera and then abandoned by the industry, immediately replaced by new wannabes.
Reversing the ordinary career progression, Brea debuted with Vivid in this starring vehicle at age 25, and ended her career in web porn, devolving into bondage/fetish assignments (and all-girl hardcore). Usually the webcam girls and softcore fetish "damsels in distress" represent the farm team, graduating to mainstream porn if spotted by some agent. How many make it to the superstar level of a Riley Reid, Lana Rhoades or Gabbie Carter is infinitesimal.
Here she does overlong sex scenes in boring fashion, emitting pornspeak on the level of "F*ck yeah!", and doing tiresome porn actress technique (sucking balls, deep-throat, sex-standing-up, etc.).
Movie consists of Van's random sightings of her, plenty of Brea humping (including with Van and his girlfriend Jenaveve Jolie) and very corny pimps played by Nick Manning and Johnny Castle (as a pimp/cop combo) plus prostitutes in the form of squirt queen Angela Stone and British porn icon Poppy Morgan.
Following a stupid cameo apperance by PT himself, movie's ending is extremely poor, a direct insult to any patient viewer who has made it through that far. The potential for a romantic fantasy has been thoroughly trashed.
