I watched this film Broken Being: Prequel by DeeDee Animation Studio back when the film was publicly released on social media. Since then the film had gone through a film festival spree, in which it landed in multiple international festivals and won one prestigious award. The film really did make an impression on me. It is the first animated short film made by a Vietnamese studio that reaches such a high standard of filmmaking. The art and action are seriously well done. What surprises me the most was the story it tries to tell: unlike other traditional low-quality Vietnamese animated films which preaches old and boring "good things", this film aims at more matured audiences and a fresh, exciting and mind-bending theme and story. Worth a watch.
