I was on the show in 1964.

Due to a project I did for the St Louis science fair in 1963, while in 9th grade, demonstrating an analogue computer I was somehow chosen to appear on the show. It aired in 1964. I remember during rehearsal and shooting there were three Steves involved including the producer, Mr. Carlan. It caused an interesting degree of confusion for the staff when "Steve, please........". It was a lot of fun We were presented with a navy blue sport coat the the shows logo embroidered on the pocket and the buttons were copper made from hull plating of the USA Constilation which was being refurbished. Still have that sport coat. This experience led to my best friend, Bob Brandhorst, and doing a joint project for the 1964 St Louis science fair on the effects of rocket launcher on hamsters, far more interesting.

During the one episode I can recall, a student had built a television camera. Upon return from a commercial break, the camera provided a few seconds of footage of the set. Watching this show sparked my lifelong interest in electronics and broadcasting.
