For a 11 minute short film, Dissonance poses a puzzle that will make you think for hours! The plot is simply ingenious, not just in its core idea, but in the way the story unravels itself. Personally, I feel every moment in this film carries a certain significance, and if you're able to follow and see through the emerging pattern of it all, you will discover something akin to an infinite spiralling staircase..it is going somewhere for sure, but are you smart enough to figure out where? Dissonance is an isolated masterpiece, perhaps not in its exterior disguise, but in the secrets it holds. It is not a quick, superficial dose of stimulating drama and action for the impulsive viewer in a hurry. Instead, the heart of the plot dawns on you gradually, in the form of subtle clues and thoughtful phrases. Sometimes, the clues reveal the truth in just a little more clarity, enticing you to dig deeper, but other times they simply mock you. Dissonance is for an imaginative audience. If you can pay enough attention to appreciate the details and the elegance in the sequencing, then use the clues to build your own theory of what it all means...then trust me, you're in for some real fun. Watch Dissonance closely; not once, but till you truly get it!
