Another guest star has been announced to appear on the second season of FEARnet's horror sitcom "Holliston," and we're both frightened and bemused by the thought of what will happen when Adam and Joe run into a Miss Teen USA contender!
From the Press Release
Caite Upton, the 2007 Miss Teen USA contestant who became a video star when her pageant interview went viral, will make a special guest appearance in an episode of the upcoming second season of FEARnet’s hit series “Holliston.” In the J-horror themed episode filming in Hollywood on Tuesday, September 18, Upton plays Rachael—a stunning “Perfect 10” who begins dating series lead Adam, played by “Holliston” creator and star Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen). Things take a turn, however, when Adam discovers his perfect woman has a dark side.
This is the first genre appearance for Upton, who has previously been seen as a guest correspondent on “Jimmy Kimmel...

"The Week the Women Went" finally reached the day the women came back with its season finale, with lots of hugs and tears from everyone. The women had a lot of fun on their vacation, while the guys proved they could step up and take care of their families. But they'd much rather do it together.
For one family, the revelation of how important time is led to a drastic change. Stephen Love really cherished the time he had with his family this week, but in doing so he realized how much time he'd lost already. Love works two hours from his home, and while the couple had talked about moving before, his wife, Jennifer, had been reluctant.
"Think about how much you missed the kids all week and I have to do that every week," he told her.
"I understand now more of what he’s going through, so...

Good morning! Are you sad The Real L Word/DNC/VMAs are over? So much TV last night.
Thanks to reader Melissa, I now have to start watching this Hgtv show called All American Handyman. Lesbian contestant Sonne Shields is in the running on Season 3, which airs Sunday nights.
Anton Goss, is a set designer for talk show hosts and he talked with The New York Times about creating a set for The Ellen Show:
Because the talk show is such a strange beast, I tend to find that the hosts say, “Here’s what I’m about, here’s my house, now take that and show me something.” With Ellen, her personal passion was having amazing plants on the set: desert succulents and sculptural pieces. She’s got amazing taste. It’s like Spanish style, and then you took a modern twist.

The day most of the dads were likely dreading was finally here on "The Week the Women Went." It was pageant day, which meant the guys had to get their daughters dressed and ready for the show. It also meant they were the ones who had to apply the makeup and style the girls' hair for the pageant.
The dads did the best they could, but they clearly had no idea how to apply makeup, or even in some cases what exactly makeup was.
"Is that like, a basement part of a house would be the foundation?" one overwhelmed dad said.
One daughter thought their attempts at makeup was "embarrassing," but at least they stuck it out and made it through. They got their daughters on stage, for better or worse.
Tune in next Tuesday to see how it all wraps up as the women return on the season finale...

Good morning! I hope you had a nice Labor Day.
The Bold and the Beautiful producer Brad Bell says we'll definitely see more of Karen and Dani, it just depends on Joanna Johnson's schedule over at Emily Owens. M.D.. He told TVGuide:
Joanna will definitely be back, if only for a day or two here and there. And once her schedule backs off a bit I want her back for something meaty. We may not see Karen for the time being but we'll play her as if she's still around and that she and Dani are still a happy couple. [Laughs] I'm not going to have Dani go off and seduce one of our guys.
Thank You Brad Bell.
Here's a great drinking game for you: Take a shot every time the word "Drama" is said on The Real L Word.

Give Darnell credit for trying, but even his young daughter Baily didn't seem all that thrilled with his idea to spray paint one of her dresses. The men not only have to learn to deal with life without their wives on "The Week the Women Went," but they've also been told they must throw a beauty pageant for their daughters at the end of the week.
So Darnell tried to get creative with Bailey's dress. Only his idea of creativity and the kind of creativity that goes into fashion design couldn't be further from one another. At least his buddy Doug was supportive.
"Honestly, it’s not that terrible," he said, which isn't the most glowing of compliments. A writer for SheKnews took it one step further, writing "Darnell has to make the dress for the pageant and it looks pretty terrible."
Luckily, by the end of the episode, the...

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including The Newsroom, Political Animals, Bunheads, Project Runway and Glee!
1 | How fantastic has The Newsroom‘s Lisa turned out to be? When first introduced, she seemed like little more than a superficial foil for her journalistic roommate, Maggie. But in this week’s episode, girlfriend stepped up! She schooled Jim about choosing her only because Maggie was unavailable, then held Will accountable — on live TV — for the media’s lopsided coverage of child abuse and abduction cases.

The social experiment playing out on "The Week the Women Went" (Tue., 10 p.m. Et on Lifetime) is explained pretty well in the title. But apparently Misty didn't realize just how long a week was. After two days, she decided that she simply couldn't stand to be away from her family for this long and wanted out.
She said she tried the experiment -- for two days -- and learned in that time that she can't live without her family. "They’re all I have and there’s nothing more important than them and I just, if they were here, I would be fine, but I just can’t do it without them," she said.
So she didn't. Instead, Mindy went back home to be reunited with her husband and kids. While the experiment was to see how the men would fare without the women around, this did create an interesting result,...

I watched the first episode of "The Week the Women Went" (Tues. 10 p.m. Et) days ago, but I'm still irritated, and for so, so many reasons. On the surface, this seems to be a fairly straight forward reality TV show. The show descends on the small town of Yemassee, South Carolina with an offer. The women of the town get an all-expenses-paid resort vacation for a week, and in exchange the menfolk must submit to their roaring incompetence being filmed for posterity. It's female empowerment, right? The men will learn exactly how much the ladies do in a day (or...

Seriously, a week without women? No big deal, right? Not the case, as Lifetime documents in The Week the Women Went — a four-episode series the network is hyping as “a social experiment of biblical proportions,” slated to premiere on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 9pm Et/Pt [although the network has changed this premiere date twice already]. Based on a similar British series that aired on the BBC, the project takes place in the small town of Yemassee, South Carolina, located about 250 miles southeast of Atlanta. Of a town of roughly 1,000, about 150 women agreed to participate, packing up [...]...

Batter up! TLC has ordered five episodes of a new docu-series revolving around Pete Rose, the polarizing baseball great.
The yet-to-be-titled series will follow Rose, his fiancée Kiana Kim and their attempt to blend their families together. The show will also chronicle the Cincinnati Reds star and onetime manager’s struggle with the controversial 1980s gambling scandal that has kept him out of the Hall of Fame and the sport he loves for over 20 years — an issue that he considers appealing again with the commissioner during the TLC project.
The Rose series is set to debut later this year.

Summer used to be a time when your TV choices were pretty limited. But then then the cable networks wised up and realized it was a perfect season to launch new programming, since their broadcast competition had little to offer besides reruns. As a result, the summer TV schedule now has enough to keep you thoroughly entertained - a relief on those days when the heat forces you inside and prostrate on the couch.
Whether your idea of great summer TV is light drama, ridiculous reality, supernatural angst or smartass comedy there seems to be something for everyone. Here are the new shows that have our curiosity piqued and the returning shows we're excited to see back.

The Out Power 50 has been named, and it's as confusing as any other year. Topping the list is Apple CEO Tim Cook, who isn't formally out, and other non-out folks like Anderson Cooper and Matt Drudge rank high. But what may get them in the most trouble is that there's no sign of Adam Lambert.
Grant Morrison, writer for Action Comics, says that Batman "is very, very gay. There’s just no denying it. Obviously as a fictional character he’s intended to be heterosexual, but the basis of the whole concept is utterly gay.”
Fringe has been given a final 13 episode order for next season, allowing it to get close to that magical 100 episodes that makes it valuable in syndication. I loved the first season, but quickly lost interest after that.

The network that once billed itself as "Television for Women" is getting ready to unleash a reality show that imagines a society in which womenfolk do not exist. Vulture hears that later today, Lifetime will announce a June 6 premiere for The Week the Women Went, a five-episode docudrama in which producers extracted all of the adult women from the small town of Yemassee, South Carolina, and then watched as everyone with a Y chromosome was left to fend for himself, raising the kids, tending to home, and operating all the local businesses. It's like Wife Swap if the other mother never showed up.Twtww is actually based on a seven-year-old unscripted format pioneered by the BBC back in 2005 and since exported to numerous countries around the world. The American version was put together by exec producer Jon Kroll (The Amazing Race) and BBC Worldwide Productions, and it looks as...
