Lambu Dada review :
Producer Amarlal P. Chhabria announced Lambu Dada in 1978 with comedian Mehmood as director and Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha in lead roles. The film got shelved in sometime but Chhabria revived the project again a decade later but the director as well as cast were completely changed.
Kabir Bedi became Lambu Dada and the ever graceful Madhavi was his heroine. The plot was basically about an emotional bonding between a criminal and a small child and how she reforms him..
Kabir- Madhavi looked odd as a pair and even the screenplay didn't explore their love angle to the optimum. On the contrary, the scenes between the kiddo and the hero were quite endearing. Despite this, Lambu Dada fell flat at the box office lasting just three weeks in Mumbai's Shalimar Cinema. Flop show!!
