Will always love this show but...

We have loved this show since day one, Tim Roth is outstanding as Jack and the ladies are also great. We downloaded all of season 3 and watched all 6 episodes fairly quickly. Great TV and achingly funny and bloody heart wrenching at the same time.

I took 2 stars away as I did not like the ending, at all!

A Surreal Ending to a Great Show
Kev-P8410 December 2020
After 3 seasons the show goes out in style, the final episode is fast paced with a lot going on right up until the close. I should have expected nothing less from the show to give an unusual ending.

The End

Warning: Spoilers
I've enjoyed watching Tin Star over the years and it's kinda sad to see it go. The episode was pretty good but I didn't like the fact that they killed off Joanne Whaley's character (those kids needed her!) and the way Jack, Angela, and Anna all committed suicide at the end.

You'll need closed caption for season 3.

The first two seasons had an intricate fast-moving plotline and were very enjoyable as much for the acting as the scenery. But for season three, I found I could not understand half of what was being said without closed captioning - the Irish, Scottish and Liverpool accents were too thick for this American. The ending was not rewarding, but could leave the door open to more episodes.

what's wrong with people??? this ending rocks!!!!

The stupid comments I read prove, again, that the intelligence level of IMDB goers is getting lower and lower. What did people expect? A happy ending, and they all lived happily ever after? This ending is perfect, shocking and cruel and fits perfectly with the spirit of the whole series, which is certainly not among the most beautiful ever made, but it is certainly a smart and valid series and the ending is right.

I know it's escapism but really...

Loved Tin Star in its early series - worth watching for the scenery alone so I was a bit worried about the relocation to Liverpool.

Don't get me wrong - I knew almost all of the locations as I'm a local so I think that kept up my interest - but really...

A crime spree like no other. God knows how many murders. How many van drivers clubbed unconscious and ice cream vans stolen. It wouldn't happen in gun toting America let alone the UK.

I guess it's easier to write if you don't have to worry about the police ever catching up with you. Or even bothering to look for you.

There's a murderous gang out looking for you - so sure you'd go out on the lash and get legless. What's the worst that could happen ?

So much killing of innocent bystanders that I'd long lost affection for our 'heroes'.

Worst season

Warning: Spoilers
Loved the first 2 seasons, that's were it stops for me. The third season is horrible. Most of the time they're walking down the streets of Liverpool with their guns out which wouldn't happen in any city for that matter. At the end they just jump off a building, stupid.

Not that great
dierkingl16 May 2022
Season 1 was great, unique and good pace. Season 2, um not to good but still ok. Season 3, what the heck? Sorry, this could of been a great ending to the series, but it was not. The plot, is there one? Just them going around killing everyone, but why? That really is not answered completely. The end? Not a good ending. I would rather of seen them gunned down, but jump off a building? Oh well the series is over with. It started out with great promise and ended badly.

What totally stupid final two episodes

Warning: Spoilers
Nobody on the streets during the day (have you ever been to Liverpool pre-Covid and seen that?) Gun fights and murders all over the place - but no police - the TV crews from acroos the worlds would be swarming all over Liverpool A chief constable able to go off all on her own frequently, and then is protected by just one officer when her life is threatened The family able to travel across the City without having to hide at all And, towards the end, a senior police officer goes off on his own to arrest a master criminal etc etc

Complete rubbish, after a good start in the first episodes. I will never get this wasted time back again.

Embarrassing

What a dreadful end to what was a good series.

All involved should be ashamed of themselves, Tim Roth most of all.

Worst ending EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So unoriginal they totally ripped off the ending of Thelma and louise. I loved all 3 seasons and the first 2 were the best because they filmed in my country of Canada 🇨🇦 but having the 3 of them jump to their deaths instead of riding off into the sunset happy means EVERYTHING was for NOTHING so for that the last episode gets a 1/10 💩

I understand if all involved did not want to make another series but that does not excuse the silly ending, we did not sign up for Thelma and Louise 😒

Anyone who gets this far as a viewer deserves an award

Totally ridiculous storyline throughput this whole series. I think there was one episode (3?) that gave me hope it would get better but I was too far in not to see it to the end.

Other movies/series get away with it because they inject at least some consistency or an element of reality. This was just embarrassing. So many seems made me laugh out loud at the sheer naivity of the story telling. Anna becoming a badass and beefing up the pair of thugs. The police chief pushing the copper over the balcony. The fact that no one reported their cars or ice cream vans being stolen at gun point. The incompetency if the police. I hate myself for putting myself through this terrible series. It left a bad taste in the mouth and takes away from the originality of Season 1.
