Fun.

(4 out of 5 stars).

Finally seeing the characters screen testing for a role. Seeing the producers trying to break the barriers with changing the script for a different race. Which does not play well with others. The cast is great. The script and direction was fun.

Enjoyable

An enjoyable episode, back to the faced paced Hollywood glamor. Beautiful cinematography and costuming. Fairly well developed storyline.

Jeanne (Mira Sorvino)

Warning: Spoilers
Favorite scene (s) with Jeanne (Mira Sorvino) (I couldn't decide on 1, so I chose all 3) -

Her scene with Ace - sex and a heart attack in Palm Springs.

Apologizing to Avis, and being forgiven.

Rock Hudson's very disastrous screen test.

First Axe Thrown..

Alrighty, Episode 4! Now dont get me wrong, each episode has given me a little feels here and there, especially as a gay man, however I'm definately beginning to realize what people are meaning about it being a fantasy. They didn't mean unicorns and laser beams, they mean it's far fetch. All these things happening to these people are realistic in the industry, so it's nice to see the different perspectives, but there's miss opportunity in the story line to really get the audience's attention. I know the characters but I haven't fallen in love with them to fight for them.

In regards to watching it. There was a great performance by Archie. And that story arch with his race is very interesting. It lead the whole episode! Really cool to see the process of casting and as always costume and sets are beautiful.

I rated it 1 less star then usual because it hasn't done after that has surprised me just yet. Hoping, as Ryan Murphy does in American Horror Story, there will be a turn half way through the series where this low risk stuff we are watching was just to warm us up for the big risk that is about to come!

Hora do teste

Hollywood (2020)

Series

1st Season

Episode Four - Hora do Teste

I'm glad Jim Parsons' character got it wrong.

For a moment I thought that woman would accept his blackmail, but it's good that Castello eats well.

Sad for Rock that has nothing to do with this.

It's disgusting that they removed the screenwriter's name just because he was black.

Imagine how many auditions were better than the auditions that were accepted, and those that were accepted were only because they weren't in the minority, some famous actors and actresses wouldn't even be famous if it were fair

Episode four of the first season of the Hollywood Miniseries watched on May 22, 2024.

Rating: 6/10.

Not the Hollywood it was...

One thing I hope Ryan Murphy would learn from the general negative feedback of this show is that DO NOT TREAT YOUR AUDIENCE AS IDIOTS. OK?! We all know what happened and even if you have made a fantasy, it shouldn't be another stupid happy-go-lucky story. We know what had happened.
