Sublime!

If there was a Champions League amongst new TV shows, this one would easily be in the final and even win it. So heartwarming, watchable, at times moving, at times funny, always engaging at an emotional level. I wish each episode was 90 minutes with extra time, not just 30. Kudos to everyone involved. Ted Lasso is the new Special One! :-)

Warning: Spoilers
What an episode! With so heartwarming moments, Sam's dialogue with Rebecca about his Nigerian ancestry and curses from the Harry Potter, Jamie's speech about his parents. And Ted is getting more and more respect from the players, the sky is the limit for AFC Richmond, this show is exactly what football fans needed.

P.S. Dani Rojas is my new favourite player, hope to see him score some goals in the next episode!

Dani Rojas

Nice to see this episode touch on the nonsense that is footballers being superstitious.

It's weird how this show can cover a lot on nonsense but make it seem interesting.

Good thing this is a 10 episode season as there hasn't been a bum one yet, typically american shows struggle when they're 20+ long a season.

I love Dani.

Rebecca realizes that Ted is actually a great manager who's main job is solidarity.

JAMIE GONE? What's gonna happen to the team? Never seen Ted so angry.

Two Aces Warning: Spoilers
I found the joke about Nigerian spirits very funny, but the snub at the Queen that followed dismayed me greatly.

I didn't like particularly idea of spirit sacrificing but as a plot line it worked well, I love when Ted gets angry and every time he says something rude he apologies immediately and continues his anger, it is brilliant.

Superstition
Hitchcoc23 February 2024
Dani Rojas is the new guy from Mexico. He is a super talent and will challenge Jamie. They actually become friends. But it appears that a training room is haunted by soldiers who died in the first world war. Soccer players are really superstitious and so Ted sets up a kind of exorcism where the players bring important objects that affect them deeply and then burn them. This is such unifying episode which ends on the most sour note possible. Ted feels he is finally breaking through and the team concept is taking precedence over individual egos. But there is a fly in the ointment that ultimately surprises. It will be interesting to see where things go now.

9.5/10, Amazing

This was definitely a splendid episode. To get it out of the way, my favorite characters in this episode were the Ted, Jamie, and Dani, and my favorite things about this episode were the Protagonist, the Dialogue, and the ending. I love shows like Mr. Robot where the seasons are always better than the last, so I have high hopes that this whole show will probably be the same, which means the third season is better than the second and the second it better than this one. This was honestly my personal favorite episode of the show as of right now, because the show brings us alot in this episode. So good.

Warning: Spoilers
Not quite as good as last week, but this show is really growing on me. From the zany behavior of Danny Rojas, to the jokes that come out of nowhere, Apple TV+ has something here. A shocking end with the Jamie Tartt move as well.

Annoyingly compelling
xmasdaybaby196610 June 2023
You know when you don't want something to be good but you reluctantly admit that it is?

I know it is coming through creative writing but I am now cheering on Ted and we all know that eventually the club chairperson will do too.

Yes, as usual the show got it's one laugh near thd end of the show; a crescendo after a half an hour build up.

Hannah is doing a great performance as the baddie and Higgins her put upon lapdog is brilliantly portrayed too.

It's in a grand scheme of things and we are now over the half way mark in the series so things ars sure to pick up for Ted and the team.

It's like seeing thd inevitable coming and you can't do anything about it.

An excruciating but a tip of thd hat to the writers even if the acting isn't that great.

Two Aces

Spirits are high after Richmond won their previous match. With Jamie Tartt refusing to train after being benched. Ted Lasso turns to new signing Dani Rojas.

Jamie was so sure he would not be benched, after all he is the club's main goalscorer and scored two goals in their previous match.

Dani though is enthusiastic. For him football is life as he runs up and down the pitch like a little kid.

Dani is not shy about training, and does so even when others have finished.

Only to get injured again and it is blamed on a curse on the ground after some kind of incident many years earlier.

Ted Lasso decides to hold a ceremony to get rid off the curse. Even Rebecca Welton is invited as the team owner. Jamie also takes part reluctantly.

It is another cunning way to show how Ted gets the team to bond. This is the first time Ted loses it in the dressing room when Jamie does not want to practice. Over the course of the episode, Jamie's lackeys start to abandon him.
