Who are these people...?

Watching the second series and what a waste of money this show is, not only are the celebs complete Z list (the bloke who was married to Jade Goody?!) but they're all clearly just there for a free jolly.

Kelly Brook (my god she looks different) especially - she just wanted to swan around and have a leisurely piss up in South America but her husband had the audacity to want to win which seemed to annoy her. The same husband didn't get a word in edge ways most of the time too so it was uncomfortable viewing. This sort of show is meant to make you root for someone, but I found myself not really warming to any of the celebs and I preferred their companions more who weren't 'famous'.

This programme also shows how terrible we are as people abroad, with constant examples of some Brit asking Brazilians if they speak English (no they don't) or in some cases "Anglais" (this isn't Paris mate) - at least look up some phrases in Portuguese! Let's hope they don't commission a third series.

Get a grip BBC, this is dire.

These aren't celebrities, that's the first thing to say. They are Z list at best (Alex Beresford is more famous for his part in Piers Morgan leaving GMB than anything he's done in his on right) and to be honest I wouldn't care in the slightest if any of them actually did get lost in their 'race' across the world.

It beggars belief in my mind that the BBC are giving programmes like this the timeslot it does and the repeated commissions that it does.

Yes, I quite agree that this passes the time, it's not the worst thing on television (Dancing on Ice will return though...), but this is dire.

Hoped for travel fun not inserting BBC politics

I have watched original Amazing Race format years back. So I thought I would give this version a chance and got through series 1. I enyojed seeing culture and some new places, revisiting memories from the others. Sadly time spend in some cities were only mentioned when others were overpraised and shown much longer. You menaged to cut whole country where one team transferred and then magically show them at check point. Then not even mention the country name in the next episode when other team was going through it to. It was very obvious and left bad taste in my mouth. Some jobs were interesting, but that sadly didn't change the overall feeling of bias for me. Just why?
