Quite a funny episode.

Whilst out with Truly, Howard bumps into an old flame, besotted with Marina, he's terrified, Truly spots a chance for mischief. Clarke is definitely enjoying making Howard's life a misery.

It's an amusing storyline, it's not exactly a classic, but it does have a few moments of amusement. I can't believe how ruthless Truly is with poor Howard.

I enjoyed the story of the ladies having a bake off, it manages to bring them all together without contriving a strange scenario, they come together here organically. The scenes of them on the tractor are very funny, they look like they're having a whale of a time.

I love the fact that Howard has a history with the ladies, it seems as though he has been something of a ladykiller his whole life.

Enjoyed that, 7/10.

In Which Howard Remembers Where He Left His Bicycle Pump

The ladies are baking for the Stockley Fair. Even Auntie Wainwright will be attending to drum up business for the shop.

It means Smiler is left in charge which does not make her confident.

Howard meanwhile decides to do cross country with Tom and Entwistle. Train like a paratrooper. It could also mean a furtive meeting with Marina.

Naughty Truly plans to fix Howard with a long lost dalliance. A woman called Wanda whose husband has recently left her for a younger model.

With her jet black hair, Wanda still seems interested in Howard. Truly just needs Howard to wander off to her path. He might even find his bicycle pump.

A very genteel instalment. It is hard to think that someone like Howard who needs his pyjamas warmed up would have such as history with the ladies.
