Bittersweet Tragedy
jaimepalazon20 May 2021
Shocking episode. One of the best of this show. It has the love, the adventure and the jokes. I only wish it was the one that closed the series. It was bittersweet. Sad. Happy. A lot of emotions surely. It has everything it had promised and more.

How is there still one more episode?
chillyblaze23 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what to feel right now. Out of nowhere, you find out both of the main characters (and many, many more) are dead, and you follow them throughout the afterlife. When the episode finally ended, I felt a strange combination of emptiness and satisfaction.

I guess it's true what they say. Don't feel sad that the journey is over. Be glad that you went on that journey in the first place.

The Best!!
dmedinagimenez20 May 2021
Simply one of the best episodes ever created in the history of animation, with a closing of our duo of characters that have accompanied us in our childhood and adolescence.

Although I must say that the ending is very sad, and I have been crying for 1 hour without stopping thinking about this ending. A perfect conclusion but one that will make us all draw at least a tear. I'm not going to do spoilers just watch it, you won't regret it.

¡The Fun Will Never End!

The Most Beautiful Conclusion to Friendship.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm at a loss of words when it comes to this episode. It's the perfect story of life and death. I also got a lot of "Soul" vibes from it and that animation movie blew me away. You will cry watching this and if you don't I feel sorry for you and wanna give you a hug. It doesn't bring back all the characters, but thats okay because its the story of the two best friends and their entire journey in afterlife. I was rewinding the episode as I was watching it because I loved every second of it. Best Adventure Ever!

Most Heart-Warming Adventure Time Episode (NO SPOILERS)
menufrancisco24 May 2021
Just about a minute ago I finished watching this episode, I know there's another review who gave 5 stars but don't listen to that guy he's gone banaenaes and doesn't really see it the way how I do. I watched Adventure Time 11 years ago from the day it started to the very end and I'm pleased to see another adventure time episode in 3 years so I'm crazy over Adventure Time it's the reason I like creating stories and songs like them. Adventure Time is Nostalgia

This truly is the best episode form Distant Lands, I almost cried cuz it was so touching and emotional, the plot-line was great & I honestly didn't want the episode to end cause this is an Great Episode I haven't see for 3 FRICKIN YEARS! BMO & Obsidian was great but this episode (Wackachow) was GREAT. From the Beginning to the End I enjoyed all of it, I don't want to spoil but it was Great. Just go ahead see it for yourself. It's one of the best episodes ever.

My Conclusion

I can't explain it in words, It was INCREDIBLE.

Finn and Jake together forever.
gdeup166120 May 2021
Definitely the best distant lands episode by far. This episode was so good showing finn and Jakes unconditional love and inseparable bond. And an awesome little twist at the end showing a villian that is all too familiar in the series.

"Because it's great being alive with you"

Warning: Spoilers
Oh man... Adventure Time got me crying like a baby 3 times now... First the series ending, then Marcy finding her mom's voicemail, then this... This is the perfect wrap-up of the essence of Finn and Jake and their broship.

I'm proud that I cried like a little girl at the ending. It is so perfect. I immediately thought about my loved ones and how I would never want to lose them.

Also on how I wanted Adventure Time never to end because I grew up on it and always regarded it the deepest, most complex and meaningful and my all-time favourite cartoon. But all stories must come to an end, and if this is the end of Finne and Jake's arc, I'm fine with it.

The quest for perfection?
Mezmerize20 May 2021
I have to try not to gush too much in this review. I've worked a graveyard shift for the last 10 years, so it seemed really fitting after finishing this that I had taken the day off to watch it at launch with my wife. My theory in my last review turned out true, yet false in a brilliant way. Rather than reckoning with Jake's death, this episode had me reckoning with the entire series. The ultimate adventure had plot points to tie up, but this one is just a total love letter to the entire series.

We watch Adventure Time regularly in my household, and I remember one day before HBOMax, my oldest came in while I was watching the minisodes on one of the DVDs, and was surprised she hadn't seen them (she was getting a little burnt out on our toddler's constant demands of Adventure Time being on) and it gave her a nice second wind. This episode of Distant Lands is a perfect culmination of everything that made the show what it was for the hardcore fanatics. I'm curious as to why they shuffled around the order, putting my favorite character's episode next, but it gives me hope they are going to make more. Who wouldn't love another round of Distant Lands? After Pep Butt, how about an episode about the pups? Graybles Infinity with Shermy and Beth?

An end? It seems like one more Adventure of the lot
GabG5321 September 2021
Together Again came out ahead of schedule and honestly it did not surprise much, it is a chapter that brims with nostalgia (too much I would say) becoming a parody of what they were in old adventures of seasons like 5 onwards.

The plot is quite simple, but it feels like a mixture of many things that you do not finish connecting, due to the fact that they put so many things that are not important nor are they from the main plot, at the same time that the characters do not even have the evolution nor the proper development for an ending, it clearly feels like when one of those episodic chapters ends, that you know the next day it won't matter or influence much.

PATHETIC villains and look, I don't demand much, but in the end they come to nothing and are not very memorable, even with the appearance of a classic villain from the series.

In the end we have a correct special, which gets to entertain but does not even reach the expectations that the series already had us accustomed to. It is a chapter that anyone who has left the series could enjoy, but for someone who waited and had certain expectations of a memorable adventure, they will be disappointed.

A Jumbled Mess
hoojeebo23 May 2021
I really did not like this episode, and only gave it 5 stars because it's Adventure Time, and even the episodes I don't care for are still AT. If you're a fan you should definitely still watch it, but this was just such a jumbled mess that I wasn't into it. Felt like they just threw a bunch of stuff at the wall and made me watch it slide down. Meh.

A shocking episode
giuliobalsamo23 August 2021
This one absolutely shocked me hard. This is the best episode of the miniseries by far. It has all that i wanted from it, a good throwback to these characters, an amazing story, great and compeling characters and a shocking finale. By the end of the episode, i was absolutely shocked and paralyzed, that i could barely speak, that i wished tears would come out aswell, and was also left with so many questions. This episode is incredible... i really wished this was the final one. But even if it wasnt, holy hell this was beautiful. I cannot wait to see what they have prepared, in the final episode.

A heartfelt episode filled with fun!

As a big fan of Adventure Time, this episode is amazing and had a lot of great fan service. If this is the last we see of Finn and Jake, it's a satisfying finale for the two.

Almost there.
ronniewhitedx20 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I believe this episode was just about what we wanted to see out of a Finn and Jake reunion episode. The emotional punch at the very end had be ugly cry for a solid 5 minutes. That being said maybe a little more emphasis on Jake would've been good. Like lady ranicorn kinda got shafted even though it would've been a good plot point for Jake in the episode... Also his kids but whatever lol. They probably weren't included that way Finn and Jake could share center stage but the lack of some of the most important characters in both their lives was pretty obvious in this episode since it was like a stage play for their entire existence together.... But hey shoko!

Amazing
ffjyv29 May 2021
I grew up watching adventure time. It was my favorite show of all time. How the characters grew along side of me. I am 18 now. And finally got the chance to see Finn and Jake one last time. It was an amazing episode that brought nostalgia to me. When the episode finally ended. I ended it with tears. I haven't felt this feeling in a long time. Thank producers at Pendleton Ward. Thank you for bringing my childhood back.

ADVENTURE TIME'S TRUE ENDING
kemifrancisco-611614 October 2021
Adventure Time Distant Land's Third Episode is by far the one of the most emotional episodes I have ever seen from Cartoon Network Studios, it tackles through some hard material such as the acceptance of death and the after-life. The episode was filled with strange emotions because this is the first episode in Distant Lands featuring Finn and Jake together after 3 years since the show last ended and the long-time fans who watched the series from the beginning to the end will only have this feeling like Finn and Jake's Bond and Brotherhood is one of the most emotional and unbreakable bonds in a Cartoon series and it really proves that Finn and Jake won't be complete without the Other. The episode is a must-watch and over-all this is my favourite episode in the entire miniseries and I hope that you, the reader, must probably be an Adventure Time Fan to check out their IMdB page so go ahead and watch it. It's worth your time.

Honestly The Best Spin-off I've seen
roooftbusiness15 September 2021
My expectations for this episode were set really low. I thought they were just trying to get every last drop of money from the franchise but I was absolutely amazed by this. This is Incredibly well made and you can tell a lot of thought was put into this so it wasn't just another episode. It definitely feels like it was made for a more mature audience aswell which makes sense as I can imagine they were marketing it towards people who grew up on the show. And that note mature theme works so well. I'm just speechless.

The Best One
tawogkp12 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Give me anything about platonic soulmates & I will sob like a baby. This is definitely my favourite episode of Distant Lands, it's so beautiful & a really nice way to finish off Finn & Jake's stories <33

This also solidified that they're my favourite character(s) while I've been unsure who was my number one for the whole show. So thank you Together Again for giving me even more of a connection & appreciation to & for Finn & Jake.

Also side note, this was a really nice & sad way to show Tree Trunks for the final time, it made me cry when I saw her appear in the dead world & it was really sweet to see the "in loving memory of" for her VA.

Highly recommend & I hope to watch this with my own soulmate sometime <33.

Absolutely perfect episode
noahtfun1 June 2021
Full of emotion with the perfect amount of nostalgia (references to older characters and episodes and storylines), goofiness, existentialism, and pure Adventure Time charm. Perfect ending to the most iconic duo of animation history. I guess it could lead to more, but this ending was so perfect, it doesn't leave you WANTING more because you'll be so content and happy with how it ended. Amazing. Love this show so much.
