Alice/Beth conundrum
cindylam19677 October 2021
Alice and Beth cancelling each other out doesn't make sense in the DC universe. What about all the other doppelgangers they've had on their other shows which didn't have this problem? Now Kate has to choose. The science in the DC universe is inconsistent.

It is getting better and better!
asb_deutsch21 February 2020
I would like to advise female haters to stop watching this TV series. If the antagonist would have been a male, it would have recieved a 8.8 average score. The writers have used Crisis themes nicely. I hope that there aren't any fillers in the upcoming episodes!

Kinda Predictable But Still Good
mattyrogers-1802318 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ok so it was obvious that Beth would Die and Alice would survive, I mean they're not going to lay the ground work to have Alice be to Batwoman what the Joker is to Batman and then kill her off at the midway point of season 1 when there's been no ground work for a bigger villain to arise. Once they revealed the whole only one version of each person could survive on each earth (which is kinda cool but worried about the possible plot holes it may have created. Also nice that we got an explanation why Oliver's sacrifice in crisis brought back the people it did, except for earth 1's laurel Lance but now it makes sense. Laurel earth - 1 Laurel had already died however earth 2's hadn't and so if Oliver brought Earth 1 Laurel then Earth 2's Laurel wouldn't have died) While I knew Beth was a goner I didn't see it unfolding the way it did. Kate isn't playing. I didn't think she'd pick her sister over the alternate version per-say I figured she'd struggle to make a choice and do what was best but then someone would make the choice for her, either by killing Beth themselves or by taking the "blood cure" and give it to Alice. So to see Kate sentence her twin to death and then stay with her while she died was not expected. This episode was good and while it could've been better the show has shown each week that it can get better and it has. I'm always gonna feel like there's something missing without Arrow but I'm with the Arrowverse till the end. #ForOliver

Really good episode. Good portrayal and balance of Ruby Rose as Kate Kane and Batwoman and Loving Beth and Alice both!!

Serie is getting better
pacod1976nl28 February 2020
After a meh start of this serie it's slowly getting better. Characters are becoming less cardboard and developing to be more likeable to me. It also is becoming a bit darker, which is a good thing. Curious how the show will develop in the coming episodes. The low rating of the series as a whole isn't what I would give it....a 5,5 would be more accurate for me. But the latest episodes are getting solid 7s

Good episode
yirenzhongban18 February 2020
It's really hard to please everyone. Some people think Alice is a villain, she is unjust, she should be destroyed. Some people thought Alice was more than batwoman, so he decided to drop the show. Someone criticized Kate for giving up on Alice. Some people think Kate made the right choice. However, on one point, everyone agrees that the s1e12 quality is ok. And it can generate so many perspectives. This shows that they do see different things in the show, and this complexity is rare. BW started out with Gotham and batman as the backdrop. But fortunately, the show doesn't get caught up in the background and lose sight of its own uniqueness. Batman's Gotham, is the joker, riddler, two-faced, scarecrow, penguin and other classic villains co-created. These classic villains, especially the joker. The success of Gotham's good and evil stories gives Gotham and batman a strong support. Batwoman is slowly shaping her story in the new Gotham. The crows, the wonderland gang, Alice, the mice, the skin pirates, and the upcoming vampire nocturne. It's building its own story. If a story wants to be classic, it must have two sides. When you think of batwoman, you think of her classic Nemesis Alice. Let Batwoman have a wonderful opposite, which is definitely beneficial to the creation of Batwoman herself.

Best episode of the season
bluehawk2523 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I'm surprised what's going on in the Arrowverse. Supergirl went boring, last Arrow season was mostly bad, The Flash is good but the Legends and Batwoman are so great. I never thought that I would say this.

I really felt sorry for Alice. I know what she has done but that scenes were really sad. And the end... My god. Cannot wait for the next episode.

I hope this show will continue. Ratings on IMDB are bad because of the haters (I don't mean the people who really don't like the show. Mean the haters who have a problem with a Jewish lesbian superhero), but it should have enough viewers worldwide.

Terrible forced writing to fit the same lame story
NagUnblinded23 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Every one is looking for Alice. So apparently it was logical to send Beth out in the open on a motorcycle. I mean do the writers even try to think logically? Why would they tell her to leave the bat cave when that's the safest place.

You can't try to make characters seem clever yet so dumb at the same time. CW writers for this show are a joke. Only the unintelligent would actually think this was a clever twist. Yet it's not even believable.

Kate Kane can just walk out the front door to visit her step sister and real sister from the bat cave so easily. Yet didn't need a fancy motorcycle seen. Thats just bad writing.

So great, instead of moving onto another greater villain. Let's keep dragging the evil step sister story around. Who cares about Alice's life? There's nothing to be emotional about. She's killed like over 20 people. Yet somehow there should be sympathy for her? She should be dead already. Try to be realistic and lead the second half of the season into a bigger villain.

This show is absolutely asinine and terrible with the philosophy it enables. It's the worst show in CW. Epic fail on trying to replace Arrow with a new show.

Best show of the DC Universe
kirktrumble18 February 2020
Wasn't going to watch any more of the DC Universe shows this year simply because of the poor writing. But I relented because of "Crisis", I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Black Lightning is first rate this year but Batwoman is on of the best network shows. And that has a lot to do with Alice/Beth.

This episode takes that character and her relationship with Kate/Batwoman and puts all of them and us through an emotional ringer.

But for some people a show is a disaster if a character takes someone's temperature wearing gloves. These negative reviewers should keep their identity politics to themselves since it is irrelevant to the quality of this show.

I had hope Alice was finally done! Warning: Spoilers
But nope! Psych! She's back and now even more angry and bla bla bla! Such a dumb villain. I had hope they'd finally kill her off or get rid of her! This show sure does kill a lot of people. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about Alice. Nothing.

Better than the rest
chukse-7934318 February 2020
This episode makes a huge difference from the past episode and the Alice dialogue gets more interesting no more boring batman notes at the end.

What happened?
plasmanflynn17 February 2020
It was doing so well, the show was finally really gripping me, but now we got this episode. The batwoman suit looks incredibly weird for some reason, the Beth/Alice dynamic wasn't used well this episode and the final twist put the show back where it started, when it started to show so much potential. I like the show overall, but I hope it survives the next few episodes

This show is definitely getting... WORSE!
hasansevik26 February 2020
First few episodes, one can forgive as 'teething'. Half a dozen and you start to wonder if the producers might need to step in and change things. An egg carton of episodes, though... It's becoming a lost cause.

Bad writing. And I don't mean not good. I mean terrible. Absolutely irredeemable. No actors, either - just line-readers. Action sequences so amateur they need to smother them with loud, misplaced music. Even the directing is horrible - I feel like I've seen the inside of every character's nostrils at least 5 times per episode.

Ruby Rose is rubbish. The 'Alice' actor is worse. And what's with the Crows all talking iiinnnnnnn sssllllooooooowwwww mmmoooootttiiioooooonnnnn? Dramatic effect, much? The same, tired lines over and over. The same brooding. The same arguments. The same angst, the same 'I'm a lesbian, no I'm not, but I am, blah blah blah blah...'

This show is crap.
