"The kids must use utensils - we are not dogs!"

Warning: Spoilers
Every Saturday morning is the day for pancakes at the Gosselin house. It is a tradition, says Kate. It seems as though she thinks its unique that they do this. However, I think many U.S. households serve pancakes on weekends. Kate makes them from scratch and they go through how many ingredients it takes to make 4 batches to feed their large family. She describes how the kids must use utensils for the pancakes, because "we are not dogs".

From there, they go on to discuss potty training. I think it is strange to include cooking and bodily functions in the same episode.

Very anal Kate keeps a pee and poop chart for the girls. She is not ready to train the boys yet. Kate realizes now she should have bought all the same color and brand potties for the kids because they always fight over "mine's the blue one" etc. The kids get rewarded with m&m's for successful pottying. But the really weird thing is she then takes photos of the kids WITH their poops. I can see getting a photo by the potty after its clean, but with the poop purposely visible? yuck. Kate calls the poop "their artwork", then flushes it.

Next, its off for a professional photo shoot for the twins. They have heard many people tell them the twins should be in acting with their vivacious personalities so this is the first step in getting them head-shots. Janet comes to babysit 4 of the kids (Hannah & Leah went with Jon & Kate). They get their hair and makeup done before the pictures. Cara & Mady did very good following directions and posing. Kate thinks they had a lot of fun. They took some really cute photos of the twins - especially the outdoor ones.

This is a decent episode, but again a strange mixture of pancakes and potties.
