The Gosselins are getting all the kids dressed and ready for a NICU reunion at Hwershey Medical Center to visit the doctors and nurses that helped care for the sextuplets. The parents are grouchy and Kate blames it on the fact that she worked that day. At the time, she was still working every other Saturday as a nurse. They have since decided that Kate needs to be home full time. Kate tells one of the kids that "their approach was not very kind" - boy, that's the pot calling the kettle black. Jon asks Kate "When are you going to pull the stick out (i.e. your a- -?" which Kate does not appreciate. Yes, that's a little inappropriate, but Kate was out of order with her attitude as well.
Meanwhile Collin is beating up Aaden and has to go the corner. They say biting happens everyday. Kids are always swiping each others toys. That talk about how everything is quiet after 8pm when the kids are in bed. This is the only alone time the get as a couple.
Then it's off to the NICU reunion. The sextuplets were in the NICU for an average of 6 weeks. The kids were all basically healthy and that was a real blessing. They talk about how great all the nurses were. There were pony rides, firetrucks and a petting zoo at the reunion. Kate scolds Jon in public about not holding all the kids hands and he snips at her. She hates that he doesn't take "the helm of the ship" so she feels forced to steer it to take up the slack. Kate gets upset because the nice shoes she insisted the kids wear got all muddy. Jon reminded her it had been raining for 6 days and why he tried to put on their play shoes before they left.
Next, it is the twins 6th birthday and they are throwing them a surprise party at the American Girl store. They have 3 different shifts of sitters to cover from early morning to late that night. Kate labels everything and one of the teenage babysitter laughs at how every bib, every cup and utensil is labeled.
Jon and Kate comment how it will be neat now to tell people they have 2 six year olds and 6 two year olds. They take a train into New York City. They talk about how having a routine is great, until they have to break it. Thats what happens on this day when the girls get out of sorts. Jon and Kate argue whether to take a cab or whether they'll be late. Kate is barking at the kids to hurry up, walk faster, hold my hand... Doesn't sound like a very fun day so far. They finally get to the store and they have a show called "Circle of Friends" which they surprise the girls when they get to go. At the end of the show, Mady fusses that Kate ruined the whole show because Kate was talking to them the whole time. The parents say Mady was being tired and had low blood sugar from being hungry. I say its being bratty. Then the girls get to pick out outfits for their dolls - Cara knows exactly what she wants while Mady is totally undecided. Then they have lunch at the American Girl Restaurant, where the servers bring high chairs and tea cups for their doll babies. It's really cute. The twins unwrap their birthday presents which are new dolls.
