I rated all previous episodes really low because they made even less sense than the awkward mess that was season 3.
But this episode was a very positive surprise. It had real human feelings and the characters made logical decisions. I don't think it was a "break" from the main plot as someone wrote in an earlier review. The therapy was a very much necessary, integrate part of each storyline because none of them seemed to be moving forward before. But now they are, and after a long time, I'm somewhat curious again what comes next.
Learning from the past, I don't have high hopes for the future of the series, but this one was still a very good, character driven episode.

I've never written a review for this show before but after watching this episode I was inspired to. It honestly pains me to say this, but this episode just blew my freaking mind. This was probably the best episode of this show I've ever seen. Sure, some of the acting was questionable and the episode fell apart a bit as it went on, but I was amazed by how great it felt to finally bring some much-needed realism into Riverdale. Sure, sometimes the absolutely bonkers nature of the show can be fun, but overall I'm usually astonished that this show is actually on air. With this episode, though, I was just so happy with almost everything that was happening. I'm sure that after this, the show will go back to it's old ways, but this episode truly made the best sense possible of all the craziness, and made for some genuinely good television. Sure, a whole bunch of crazy stuff had to happen to get to this point, but I would gladly watch a show more like this. More episodes like this, please!

Best episode since Season Three

The psychologist is a great addition to this episode. Now, we finally understand why some of these characters act odd, or act the way they are. The emotions are real, the actors are a lot better and delivered their lines in a believable way, emotions felt more real. We now understand them better.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a phenomenal episode.
Beautifully written and self-aware with powerful dialogue and tremendous character development that is incredibly crucial to setting the show back on track. It was perfectly acted and crafted. We've been waiting four seasons for this. One of Riverdale's all-time best episodes.
SO much clicked. OF COURSE Cheryl is being gaslighted, not haunted. OF COURSE Archie is playing vigilante because it's his way of coping with the pain of Fred's death. OF COURSE Alice gave Betty's college money away because she didn't want to lose her. It all makes so much sense in hindsight. But yet, we wouldn't have put those pieces together without many of these valuable explanations. So, a much-needed episode for the season.
Summary:
As college deadlines loom, the Riverdale High guidance counselor holds extended office hours. Betty and Alice confront their unspoken tensions about the aftermath of The Farm. Archie opens up about his vigilantism and the trauma that drives his need to save others. Cheryl fears losing her cheerleading squad and opens up about her recent trials and tribulations with the Blossoms, dead and alive. Veronica is maddened when her father uses his money to control her once again and discusses her never-ending battle with Hiram and her fears of living his life. Jughead's academics are suffering as a result of his desperate attempts to prove his conspiracy theories and he pays his public alma mater in the hopes of doing college damage control, but ends up having to confront his downward spiral and how it affects others. With valuable insight and advice provided by Ms. Burble, each of the students make critical and overdue changes to their lives and forge new beginnings.

I have never written a review before but I had to for this one. I laughed and cringed the entire time. The acting was so bad! Especially by KJ and Madelaine. But I guess that's the best they can do with this awful AWFUL writing. Even a fanfic written by a 12yo would be less cringy. Obviously all the good reviews have to be by obsessed teenage girls.
Speachless!

OH MY I ALMOST LACK OF WORDS! This is no doubt the best episode in two years! It adds so much depth to the characters, instead of the shallow parts of their persona that has shown the last episodes. I LOVED this and cried so much. I hope the authors will keep on this track, then the journey will be magic!
Did I just forgive these characters?
