Kite Man & Ivy (and Harley too)

This was a fun episode with Many clever moments but I wasn't blown away by it like I was by the first episode. I did thoroughly enjoy it though.

I feel a kind of Venture Bros vibe creeping into the show this episode, with its focus on Kite Man etc and certain types of humour. I really love VB but I would prefer this show to have a unique style as well.

Harley felt more like a sidekick than ever. The exact opposite of what She's trying to achieve. Totally overshadowed by the cooler Poison Ivy and relying on her powers to be of any use in a fight. I hope the show explores this and finds a way for HQ to occupy the limelight somehow. They need to have a temporary friend break.

The real star of the show at this point is Poison Ivy. She's more compelling and is a character whose interactions are great to watch. This time her and Kite Man were the Best part of the episode. I would have watched a whole episode about them.

I loved meeting more villains: Penguin was great as the maniacal doting uncle, Scarecrow was adorable, Bane had his moments. I don't want the show to become overstuffed with characters but meeting one new villain here and there will be fun.

Didn't have as much of the glorious cartoon violence. I missed that part of the show which was heavily featured in the first episode.

Bane was Used a bit too much.

This was a commendable follow up episode and I'm still super excited to see more.

KiteMan stole the episode. I cackled both times he opens his kite and... an unexpected thing happens. Also he ends up being a good dudebro
