Refreshingly and minutely directed !
harshahuja-1424623 December 2019
Story is simple but very minutely written and directed. Performances were genuine, loved Nidhi Bisht's Megha, she is shining in all the characters coming her way be it films or web-series. The protagonist, played by Abhishek Chauhan was able to showcase almost all the feelings seemlessly, of this newbie-in-IT guy. More power to you man! Usually I hate love stories, but believe you me, my fav episode was 4th- in the mood for love,i wished it never ended. I have just one complaint with TVF, i am done with your mini-series , i need more content like this, you ppl are playing with my heart with these 27-30min episodes.

TVF does it again..!!
mandard8710 January 2022
From the past 2 years we are working from home & are missing office terribly. TVF's Cubicles Season 2 will surely take you down memory lane into those cubicles you work in and the office environment. A beautifully scripted 1st season is followed by equally sensitive and nostalgic season 2.

Piyush who was a very underconfident & shy in 1st season has now become mature, smart & intelligent as he is now permanent in the company. S2 follows his daily life within the cubicles, his relationship with colleagues, his fight for performance, his responsibilities & more.

A series which everyone should watch as it will take you down memory lane for sure.

The second season is not as memorable as the first one, but still remains a good watch.
Perspicuity113 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
SEASON 2

The second season begins with a tired and exhausted Piyush, perhaps reflecting the state of mind of the writers who wrote this season without the enthusiasm they had for the first season. Over the years, I have come to the realization that TVF has never had any intentions of making a second season of any show. All the shows made by TVF are basically movies cut into five parts, with the length of each episode depending upon the budget in hand. Cubicles is no exception. This season is more like the lighter version of the first season.

Amit Golani is missing from the writer's team this season, and surprisingly TVF hasn't even credited him as the creator of the show, or the one who provided the original story, unlike the first season. Clearly the break up that took place last year between TVF and some key members (which included Amit Golani) was a pretty bad one. Thankfully, Nidhi Bisht was retained as the extremely endearing Megha Asthana, but her role this season was more of an extended cameo unfortunately.

A very interesting character was introduced this season, RDX played by the impeccable Jaimini Pathak, but somehow I felt that his character wasn't developed properly, and was given a very abrupt ending. Jaimini Pathak's acting was of the highest quality as usual, the song played at his exit was beautiful, I just wish his character was integrated in a better way to the show and was given some more screen time and interaction with Piyush. By now it's quite clear, that TVF loves to makes shows that belong to the genre mastered by Rajkumar Hirani, feel good, slice of life, emotional and inspirational. The fourth episode of this season is the one that ticks all those boxes. Jaimini Pathak is a gem of an actor and his presence made that episode extremely beautiful and memorable. We definitely need more of him as an actor.

Ayushi Gupta is another new addition this season, known for playing Nabomita in TVF's Hostel Daze. She has been given a meatier role (as compared to Jaimini) and acts as the catalyst of this season portraying a cold blooded employee who doesn't shy away from pulling the rug from under a colleague's feet or throwing them under a bus as long as it benefits her. The writers have very cleverly inserted her character as a metaphorical representation of the cut throat competition that exists in the corporate world. Ayushi Gupta has done a pretty good job in this season and holds a lot of promise as an actress. Another good aspect of her role is that it wasn't limited to being a romantic interest, the top priority of her life was always shown to be her career. Now that is not something we normally expect to happen every time a female character shows up in a series, that's how stereotyped girls have become in our movies and shows.

One of the most notable underwhelming aspect of this season was that Shivankit Singh Parihar didn't have a lot to do. Angad Waghmare remains a mute spectator watching the proceedings for almost the entirety of this season, and even the episode that was centered on him, somewhat, was pretty much the same as the one we saw in Season 1, except that this one makes no impact on the viewer. Shivankit Singh Parihar is a special talent, its high time TVF makes a show with him playing the lead. He has played way too many side characters now, I strongly believe that he deserves better, much better than this.

Abhishek Chauhan continues to be the best thing about this show. Piyush Prajapati is very well written character who is realistic and relatable and has been personified beautifully by Abhishek. His character has matured a lot since the last season, so from being an emotional mess at the start of last season, he has reached a point where he finds himself in a position where he can motivate others and help them fix their life. TVF has always managed to find good actors, and Abhishek Chauhan is no exception. We all see ourselves in him, everything that he aspires for is something that we all want, he is the good guy that we all want to be.

Cubicles continues to be a feel good show that has likeable characters battling it out for survival in a corporate environment, a concept most of us can relate to. There is no over the top acting or unnecessary melodrama, everything remains subtle and real. What this season lacks though are some memorable scenes and dialogues that were there in plenty in the first season. The music for this season has been given by Anurag Saikia, and it's good, but the songs of the first season composed by Karthik Rao were truly special. In conclusion, second season of Cubicles is not as good as the first one but that should not stop anyone from watching it. It remains an easy watch, something everyone can enjoy. As a suggestion I would definitely like to say that 'The Viral Fever' (TVF) needs to move on from making just slice of life and feel good shows, they need to stop hovering over and go deep into the surface. They really need to start exploring other kind of stories and make a full length show that not only goes on for 10 episodes but also offers a real scope of making multiple seasons of it.

kalpesh is back
iamshimantadas6 January 2024
I'm so exciting to see role "Kalpesh" is back in S3. I see him at first season as honest friend of piyush. Also I see new entry of a new joinee. This season will be game changer for previous as well. Also shetty becomes father as well and a family man too who also maintaining his family as well. Also again see sunaina from season 2. Now exiring part how Piyush survived as a TEAM LEAD that's we will be see in this series. How much responsibilities he can take over and deliver a good/.bad project as a assignment end of the day, will be a achanllange for him as well. Also I will see might role MEGHA.

Doesn't feel like TVF
knvarunofficial9 January 2022
First season was good. Second season failed to deliver. Usually TVF stories are real and relatable, This felt far from reality, as if some random Bollywood director made it. Not happy. Skip S2.

Relatable
davdamanthan4 January 2024
If you are working in IT then you would find this web series very very relatable.

TVF never gets it wrong and yet again they got it right with cuticles.

S1 is all about how a enthusiast fresher who is ready to conquer the world, finally he will be able to develop the software but then the reality hits hard.

S2 is all about office politics, meeting deadlines, f@ck ups, surviving in co-operate world.

S3 is released now and this by far the most relatable season if you would have ever got promoted.

Do watch it if you are working in IT, you will be able to relate to each and everything, it surely brings the nostalgia back.

TVF Classic
harinjani13 January 2020
Cubicles is one of the classic creations of TVF. They capitalize on realistic depictions with the cast seeping through the dynamics of the role, thus portraying real-life simulations. TVF Shows such as Kota Factory, Hostel Daze and Flames also share a similar feel of TVF.

I personally liked the acting of Nidhi Bisht(Megha) and Shivankit Singh(Angaad). Megha shares the same aura as Deepesh Sumitra(Pradeep Sir) in Flames or Jitendra Kumar(Jitu Bhaiya) in Kota Factory - the counselor on life - though the latter have much stronger depth in their character. A similar accent along which the protagonist flows - a person getting adapted in the new environment - again the connect with actors in the above two mentioned series is much higher than this.

If you think about individual characters, they do lack depth. But their combined efforts have created a great experience. The opening song was also great, something which had just vanished from Indian Series Industry.

Nevertheless, it is doubtlessly a great watch. I personally think TVF is the future of the Indian Web Series Industry - which produces shows one can watch with their family - upholding the cultural values of the nation.

Not at all 8.8/10
swapnilbhatnagar31 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I am a fan of TVF and its content because they create real and close to reality content, but this series is extremely unreal and too much like a fairy-tale. Neither a fresher is like this, nor a manager, not teams, nor teammates, not the house they live in and not even HR. This is way too unrealistic.

Great with story-telling, direction, photography, acting that can make kids love this series but honestly, not real. For example, a series named Silicon Valley, mixed with high end technical knowledge, challenges, comedy and probably everything real managed to get 8.5/10 IMDB rating globally and on the other hand, this web series barely used any technical terms, challenges and projected things coated in sugar. TVF is known for a great content, but unfortunately, this is not a series worth 9 or 10.

Yet another well made web series by TVF
Puroo21 September 2021
I had decided to take a break from TVF after I got a Prime subscription. And when I came back I saw that there was a new web series, which was this one of course. Cubicles is a pretty well made show that gives a social commentary on the life of a newly recruited employee in a software company. The web series is fun to watch because of its humorous and relatable content. I really think this one is among the better web series that TVF has made, and also one of the most underrated ones, considering I have never seen anyone talk about it.

Cubicles is a story about a man who has received a new job at a software company. He lives with his friend and together they try to earn their living and decide on the things they have to buy. In the first episode the man is shown to struggle with his job. His card does not work, he gets framed for plagiarism, no one wants to talk to him, he gets scolded by both his boss and his HR and he ends up sitting in the ladies' washroom. But as he decides to slowly adjust himself to the new lifestyle, he finds new friends, patches up problems between his boss and HR and makes friends with the same bald man who had framed him for plagiarism.

Cubicles has a pretty good set design. It seems like an upgrade from the previous works of TVF. One of the things that strike me the most about it is the new take on this drama. Unlike previous TVF Original web series, this one is not exactly a comedy, even though it does have its fair share of light moments. This one is more about the emotions, the score, the romance and the wholesomeness. The problem with this web series is, however, it is not very memorable. As you could have already seen by now that I have already forgotten the names of all the characters. The impact of this web series is very weak because of its lack of usual humour. Everything about this web series is very blurry as I try to remember it while writing this review. This is the reason why no one is talking about it.

Since Cubicles does not contain any cuss words, it is safe to say that one can watch it with the whole family. This web series is also a good thing to show to your parents if they ask what TVF is, and probably can interest them in watching this too. It is one of my favourite TVF Originals after probably only Kota Factory, and that is understood since that web series is so iconic. I'd definitely recommend anyone to watch this.

Can relate 100%
manasdesai-8424424 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
TVF again impresses with it's effective, present generation, common middle class person content. You woudl be so attached to this series specially if you had just started a job. It's just a pure talent of TVf team how they can convert a simple daily observations into a beautiful story. How this series gives you tiny lessons are just a piece of wonder like a dialogue " there is word end in word Friend".

You know you'll watch it.. After all it's TVF
saatvikshah24 December 2019
I don't work in a cubicle and still i somehow relate to each and every episode of the season.. Such is this gem of a series by tvf..Especially the 4th episode.. It's about time tvf starts producing 10 episodes per season.. Releasing only 5 episodes is criminal.. It leaves you wanting more.. "Cubicles" is not your magnificent, breathtaking, majestic series but rather it's a simple, elegant, heart-warming series dedicated to those who work tirelessly from 9-5 pm.. Give it a watch..

Season 2 is Dissapointing
collinsenosh30 May 2022
Writing is decent, but the pacing is too slow. Acting is neither bad nor stand-out.

This show is too mediocre, and gets a little preachy against IT companies. There is too much stereotyping.

Good series are about personality, writers must resist the temptation of too many punchlines; in this one they did not.

Not Realistic
prajwalkulkarni-8518513 January 2022
I liked the Season 1 more than Season 2 because it was more realistic. Season 2 felt like a series of motivational quotes woven by a weak story. Nobody in IT industry is promoted to Project Lead level just after an year of passing out of college. They could have shown a little bit of working from home before switching to office to be more realistic and appealing. The main guy feels quarter life crisis after working for just one year. That's the funniest part.

I would say only watch Season 1. You would not missing anything if you skip Season 2.

Just Amazing
steevanbaptist8 January 2022
The way the entire show has been portrayed to the audience is just amazing. You feel every character in the show and it makes you a part of their journey. The emotions at the right time, the background music, the beautiful songs, every meaningful sentence which makes you think about the journey of your own life....and the innocence and aggressiveness of each and every character just adds the cherry on top of the cake. Overall a must watch series for everyone.

TVF!! You rock, and thank you sony liv for taking up season 2 as a part of you. Waiting for season 3!! :)

kunalsingh-0807523 December 2019
Content is the BAAAP, and TVF knows it very well. Finished watching 3rd Episode and only word I can say is WoW. They make every actor act as good as they can. I guess they have encouraged and promoted more debuts than any other Film Group. Just loved it.

TVF - Rocks as Always.!
