A Parliamentary Quirk?
lavatch20 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Yesterday, President Trump was impeached in the House of Representatives. But was he? Tucker examined a potential parliamentary quirk suggesting that a president is not impeached until the articles reach the Senate. At this moment, Nancy Pelosi has chosen to sit on the articles without delivering them to the Senate.

One of the Democrats' specially chosen constitutional law professors during its hearings was Noah Feldman, who wrote in an article today that, technically, Trump will not be impeached until the articles arrive in the Senate. The Constitution stipulates that a president has the right to defend himself in a trial in the Senate. It is clear that until the articles are delivered, impeachment is on hold.

John Kiriakou appeared on the set to discuss with Tucker the matter of John Brennan, who repeatedly claimed that the Steele dossier played no role in the CIA's investigation of the Trump campaign. The obvious appearance is that Brennan perjured himself before the Senate because of the revelations in the IG's recently released report.

Kiriakou, a former CIA officer, noted that John Durham has definitely opened a criminal investigation. At this stage of his work, Durham has requisitioned Brennan's e-mails, notes, and phone logs. That body of documentary evidence may demonstrate what Horowitz was unable to conclude, namely, partisan bias, especially if Brennan clearly knew that the Steele dossier was opposition research. The handwriting may be on the wall for Mr. Brennan.

Tucker and John Kiriakou concurred that there is an arrogance at work in powerful figures like John Brennan. They believe that the truth will not get out, and they can get away with criminal activity. But the time may be approaching when karma comes to the Washington swamp.
