I watched this because I love crouch's pod and think he's a good pundit, but this is definitely a stretch for the big man.
Save our summer it's called, but all it does is compound the misery with the unfunny ensemble cast whilst pete looks about as convincing as an entertainment host as I would playing up front for stoke.

Simple feel good TV

Having watched all but one of the shows I have to admit that I did enjoy it. It is very simple and almost silly TV but somehow it works. Plenty of sporting and music industry A-list guests taking part in what are essentially party games but clearly having a lot of fun doing it. As an exercise in socially distanced studio entertainment it worked pretty well and was just a simple bit of light hearted, feel good TV. I don't believe it aspired to be anything else.
An awkward, miserable attempt to save the summer

This is by far the most stilted and unfunny live entertainment show I have seen in a long time. Intentions were good, but casting bad and the "banter" just lacks any flow and sparkle. Crouchy doesn't pretend to be anyone he isn't but constantly goes on about rehearsals and in-jokes that break the fourth wall.
Alex Horne of course makes an appearance and fails to add anything new.
There is a female presenter who apparently used to play football, but she's completely forgettable.

Peter Crouch: Doom Our Summer

Former footballer Peter Crouch comes across as an affable bloke, credit to him for trying to launch a tv career that consists of more than sitting in a studio saying "yeah, looked offside to me, mate", but he is not helped by a terrible format that boldly claims it can "save our summer".
This programme has never looked like it was ready to air, instead a work in progress idea that's being cobbled together in front of our eyes. And it doesn't work, as the reviews here show.
With the right format Crouch's tv aspirations could be realised, but this won't be that format.

As other posters of commented the initials of this show spell out SOS..which immediately spells disaster!
I for one can't understand why the media currently fetes Mr Crouch: the BBC have heavily pushed both this and his podcasts - hi frankly find him as humorous as a haemorrhoids!
Hilarious

2020. The best entertainment show on TV over the last few weeks. Genuinely laugh out loud and very entertaining. Crouchy is everyone's best mate and it showed. Great guests and able support from Maya and the inventive Horne Section. Highly recommended!
Can't believe the hate!!

Watched all the episodes now and have to say its been very enjoyable and some good light hearted entertainment. As said on the show Crouchy is a very likable character and both him and Maya are great presenters. I for one would like to see another series
