Not much to say about this episode its great like the others but Wow!! What stands out here is Mia Wasikowska, and how she gives us one on hell of a performance in her roll as Sophie!! It's the definition of a perfectly acted scene, couldn't have done it any better!!!

The father

Warning: Spoilers
Sophie is surprised by her father, Zach, as she is about to enter Paul Weston's office. She did not expect his appearance; after all, he has moved to a different city with his new wife, leaving Sophie to fend for herself. Their reunion does not bring joy to Sophie, on the contrary, she feels her father has taken quite some time for this encounter.

Zach wanted to go in with Sophie, something that she objects to. As Paul opens the door for her, he is carrying some balloons to mark her last session. It is quite evident the arrival of Zach has shaken the young girl. When she asks Paul whether it will be possible to bring him in, he does not have any objections.

Finally, Sophie comes to the realization she has to tell Zach what his betrayal made her do. She comes clean about her accident, owning up to the fact that she was conscious of what she was doing when she ran her bicycle into the car, not an accident as she had made it appear to be. The realization of having confessed what she was carrying inside her, takes a weight from her soul, beginning to feel better for having done it. The episode ends on a positive note because suddenly, we note a new Sophie, sure of herself, emerge before our eyes.

Melanie Mayron directed the chapter with sensitivity the screenplay written by Sarah Treem, a usual collaborator in the series. Ms. Mayron handling of the actor, and the timing, works well in the context of the program. Peter Horton appears as Zack. Mia Wasikowska is excellent as Sophie. This young actress is developing into a wonderful presence in just about everything she does. Gabriel Byrne plays Dr. Weston with his usual gentle manner.
