Sex & Nudity

  • Most of the male characters are bare chested, while some of the female characters are scantily clad. This is natural for the tribe people who appear in this film.
  • A man discovers a naked Urduja bathing. Urduja's breasts are underwater so we don't really see anything. But once Urduja is diving underwater, her butt could almost be seen for a second. The same man attempts to seduce Urduja, but fails.
  • Princess Urduja and Limhang are seen to have a romantic affair.
  • Mayumi has a crush on Daisuke, and starts flirting and seducing him. This is very mild but humorous.

Violence & Gore

  • Despite this being a family-oriented animation feature, there are many scenes of mild violence which mostly involve human characters. Most of the scenes involve fighting, punching and kicking, sword fights, and arrows being shot at some of the people. It's all animated, but some of these scenes may be kinda intense for some younger children.
  • There is a battle between two ships. A rat causes an enemy ship to explode.
  • During the entire movie, very few of the scenes involve some people attempting to attack a rat.
  • A man threatens to punch a woman, but Urduja prevents him from doing it and starts a fight with him.
  • A rat and a tarsier are sometimes seen quarreling, and eventually hitting on each other. Sometimes these small animals simply get flattened by stuff, such as baskets of oranges to name an example. This is all played as comic relief.
  • A snake attempts to attack, and eventually swallow a rat. Most of these scenes involving the snake have humor which lowers the dramatic impact.
  • In some scenes, some male characters are seen actually getting shot with arrows. No blood.
  • Two men are whipped off-screen, but bad bruises can be seen on their bodies afterward. A third man is whipped off-screen, but most of this is implied. This is one of the most intense scenes in the entire movie.
  • During a cow race, participants cause each other to fall off their cows, such as hitting on each other and make other crash into something. Most of this scene is played with humor. One of the participants have food thrown on him.
  • A man threatens to kill a little boy with his sword, but nothing bad happens.
  • A tribe chief dies by a sickness. His dead body can be seen during a ritual.
  • A village is set on fire. Nobody dies.
  • Several men are run over by a bunch of cows, off-screen.
  • A man kidnaps a little boy, and drops him from a small cliff in order to have him impaled on bamboos, while a group of people watch this happen. The boy gets saved, but the scene itself is one of the most disturbing parts in the entire movie.
  • A rat falls over the above mentioned bamboos, but saves himself from getting impaled.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Despite being a family-oriented animation feature, some of the mild violence tends to be kinda harsh compared to what you'd see in some Disney animated movies (such as "Pocahontas" and "Frozen"), and may be kinda intense or disturbing for some younger children. This include: The whipping scene, man threatening to punch a woman, people getting actually shot with arrows , and even an attempted child killing (see more details at "Violence & Gore").
  • The death of a tribe chief may be kinda sad for some younger kids.
