The first season was kinda...... Ok..ay..., Characters are good, especially I really loved "Groza" she is Soo cute, but when coming back to story, we might end up asking " what was the story? Was there really one(story)?? And lastly can this series get improvised (the story not the animation as animation is really good) ??" It's a personal review, I don't offend others who liked it, but I give 8 out of 10 for beautiful characters and 2/10 for "story less" story....

Stupid dialogs, No character development.
So this story about 2 kingdoms light and dark.
And some lighty boy from dark kingdom.
Boy dont have name, motivation and nothing.
So i watchted 2 episodes and scroll 2 more. I cant find any power to watch it full I dont even want to write anything more about this garbage.
Better watch boruto or black clover, or SAO, but not this.

Bewildered; that's just one of many reactions I'm feeling towards this series. Here's some points to recap on:
1.) The description of the story outline on Hulu DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to describing Season 1. So, does this mean that the 1st season is a prologue? If it is, then it REALLY THREW ME OFF GUARD with it's numerous twists and turns (Ex. From the peaceful negotiations to the assassination attempt).
2.) Will there be a 2nd season? I would REALLY HOPE SO because, chronologically, the 2nd season would match Hulu's story outline, making Season 2 the start of the core story.
3.) I only hope that if new seasons are to come, the series either stick with the base characters or create characters off of those base characters. As I witnessed the very last scene, it slowly brought me back to the original story outline, describing a boy joining a "group of adventurers" along with a white cat. Then, it shows which of the adventurers becomes corrupt.
Overall, the story outline doesn't match season 1 of this series AT ALL. I will be pleased and raise my rating if another season(s) comes out to hopefully explain the chronological order of these events. Thus, I like the idea of Zero Chronicles the anime; just the execution and organization of it REALLY needs work.

I wasn't ready. I really wasn't. I was just looking for a fun fantasy. But this wasn't what I asked for.
Please, please watch this anime. It's really popular in Japan and for good reason too. It starts off like your typical fantasy anime, like Tales of Zestiria the X, but the ending blows you away. I really need more of this, my heart needs it.

Love this anime wish season 2 was being released. The ending left for a great story for it. The way the night commander seems to loose his mind and fall into darkness really has a plot for a incredible new season. I haven't read the manga, but I definitely need to just incase there is more after what the anime covers. I really hope it doesn't end in the same place when there was such a good plot build up for more. I hope a lot of people start watching this so maybe they will look back and maybe make more. I really hate when good anime doesn't get a second season even though it was more then good enough for one.

See this story is very amazing. Even you don't understand the story in the first try there is always a second try. Even though there is a bit less character building still it is pretty good. Also at the very times very sad, magical, adventures, and also some romance. I would very much like season 2 to reveal what is going to happen. Also what happens toto iris and reno after all the destruction. I really what to know. I request the developers to came up with a season 2. I would also request the people to watch this amazing sad anime. I mean the storyline is good. Even what happens to light and dark. I want to know dearly. I request you all to support this anime. Bye;-;
