As has been the case throughout its run 'Carol's Second Act' can't follow up on a very good episode with another.
Now she's with the handsome Dr. Lewis rather than embrace it Carol of course panics, leading to some cringey situations.
The only saving grace of the storyline is that the writers have picked up their earlier hinted point that maybe Dr. Frost likes Carol, and the scenes between him and Dennis are nice.
As for the B plot, oh dear. A weak and improbable storyline, with some weak writing.
The frustrating thing with this show is that it has all the elements in place to be far better than it is. It just doesn't manage to pull them off regularly enough.
