Really not the best, I have seen.

I usually aren't the type person who reviews things and gives them ones and twos out of ten, this is because I think thats ridiculous if you watch a show every week it can't be a one or a two. This week I struggled to give this episode a pass.

Very little was good, the main idea was stupid. I mean people singing in an argument was the stupidest thing I have seen on riverdale to date. Then we have Veronica's parents singing at the start. And lets not forget a lot of imaginary scenes.

The only one decent thing I could say about this episode, is that i am excited for where the video-tapes will lead.. That is about it.

Overall Grade 4.5/10 --> rounded to a five

If I could put 0 stars I would do it. Worse than ever. A month break and it comes back with such a bad episode, disappointment. They had built a story that kept you interested and now it's back to mediocrity. Since when is the series musical? It is neither nice nor interesting to see the characters singing for no reason at points where the discussion would have a much more beautiful result.

Warning: Spoilers
What on God's green earth do the writers think they are doing? Whoever came up with this storyline is huffing gas no cap. The fact that they call this show a "drama" and "mystery" when it is more like a "comedy" or "car fire"???!!! At this point the show is a trainwreck I can't help but watch. But this episode...THIS EPISODE...wow. I was audibly groaning when they started every song and literally had to look away. The fact that people were upset about the Betty ad Arche kiss??? REALLY???? Thats what you had a problem with in this episode? Not teenages working for the FBI, playing a rock show on a roof, PRETENDING TO BE DEAD, or running illegal business...you have an issue with the CHEATING and that's why you won't watch anymore...I have lost all faith in humanity.

No other word but CRINGE
rodrigocaetano-6060216 April 2020
This episode was awful! The writers of this show are just being mean to the fans! This was the worst episode of the worst and pointless season of this show. Most of the songs came in random moments where they were definitely not supposed to be played, the lyrics were just horrible and basically all of the songs were unnecessary and gave us some of the cringiest moments of this show. And to finish Betty and Archie's arcs are just turning into something so stupid and confusing, they love each other and then out of a sudden they totally forget their feelings and get back to Jug and Veronica, pretending nothing has ever happened. I'm just getting so sick of this show and of its horrible writing! Just stop the musicals please and start writing something decent!

Btw since you keep on doing musicals for every season, at least put the real actors singing, cause that was definitely not Cole Sprouse's voice...

What are the writers thinking?
genevievemylne16 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was utterly tragic. I was so excited to watch Casey's performance, but unfortunately, his talent was overshadowed by the ridiculous mess that was the relationship drama between the core four characters.

Yes, I understand and appreciate that the situation of the relationship between Betty and Archie needed to be engaged with, for the sake of closure. But in a way that completely undermines four seasons of character development? What were the writers thinking? Betty, Archie, Jughead and Veronica were all written in ways that did not make any sense to their character and contradict what has been developed over the past four years. And for what? A pairing that have relatively nothing in common, have very little chemistry and are only favoured by a small portion of viewers? It just doesn't make any sense with the storylines and the current dynamics of their relationships.

If the writers really wanted Betty and Archie to become "a thing", they could have easily put them together in a way that doesn't involve writing them so out of character, and cheating on Jughead and Veronica. This situation really just rehashes and glorifies the early season one Betty-Archie-Veronica love triangle. This outdated and irrelevant idea completely contradicts and destroys the past four seasons of character development, especially for Betty.

I am sure for many of the viewers, Betty and Jughead's relationship and their individual characters were what many people were holding onto the show for. But now that this poorly-written situation between Betty and Archie has damaged the dynamic between Betty and Jughead, and Archie and Veronica, I am certain many will soon abandon the show.

Well done writers, well done.

It's Riverdale, what do you expect?
joshuaster-768-84321016 April 2020
I actually thought this was decent. Let's not act like this show has ever thought it was the best written, best acted TV show to ever grace a network like The CW.

Only part that seemed too weird was The Archies singing on top of Pop's, but that seems about par for the course.

Warning: Spoilers
I feel very sorry for all the actors and actresses but this show just needs to get cancelled. The writers do not hesitate to completely destroy a character. I would rather see Betty accidentally killing Jughead than what happened in this episode. It makes me very sad that whoever decides on the plot clearly has no idea how teenagers, even ones who went thtrough trauma, behave. Friendship and loyalty is a thing, even when you are young and often prone to do dumb things. Cheating storylines are disgusting, especially when they come out of the blue and do not fit the character at all. I'm assuming the showrunners just want to create useless drama, but all they achieved in doing so is losing viewers. I will never watch a Riverdale episode again.

Were the writers on an acid trip when the wrote this?
cassiekEv116 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Were they? Hands down the worst, messiest, most rushed episode of the entire series. And what was that with Betty and Archie? Did they really just cheat? Where did that come from?

Like I said, acid trip.

2 stars simply for the fact that Mr. Honey trolls Cheryl about halfway through the episode by saying "Toodles."

To say there's better things to watch during this quarantine would be a heavy understatement.

Warning: Spoilers
I like watching this show yes, and the musical episodes as bad as they are this one was just horrible, bad songs, bad moments, bad everything, and cmon Archie and Betty?, one fight and it's all over, yeah I get they've been hinting at it from the start but this was not a good way to break up, nor am actual good episode to do it, should've just had an actual decent breakup for another reason if anything, anything would've been better than that.

Very disappointing
annazai16 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was everything I hate about Riverdale. I was not against exploring relationships because it's a teen drama, obviously stuff like this happens. I also thought Betty and Archie getting together could've made sense and I like it when teen's feelings are explored in teen shows. But, the way these characters that we've seen evolve for 4 seasons were treated was what made this episode unbearable. This episode did not portray the Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews I know and love. To say the truth, I am deeply disgusted by their behavior and I just find it irritating that these characters who were my favorite for so long were ruined because of this single episode. Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews are not cheaters nor selfish people. They both told their respective partners that they were the only people for them 2 episodes ago. Even if Betty is young and confused, that does not excuse the fact that she lied to her boyfriend and best friend's face for a man she has not shown an ounce of love or romantic interest in 50 episodes (the flashbacks were all from literally 3 years ago). The inconsistency in this storyline makes it ten times more frustrating. This love triangle is extremely forced. This is not the way it should've happened. I am annoyed that I will never love Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews the same again. From the promo, it looks like the show will continue in this direction so it confirms my decision that I am finally done with Riverdale. Props to the cast and in particular Casey Cott though, they did an amazing job in interpreting the songs.

They got rid of the reason 75% of their viewers even watch, for a couple that looks like they're forced. A horrible episode. I recommend that you watch a better show than this.

This episode was by far one the best episodes of riverdale and best musical they have done!! Everyone's vocals were amazing and the songs were on point. Casey Cott owned this episode he was honestly so amazing. His talent never fails to amaze me. Also the barchie?? Wow they were amazing and I so excited to see where this goes. Even though I don't condone cheating I can accept the fact that it's a TEEN DRAMA SHOW

Bad, but not the worst
nurmitmir22 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Why are you all here so pressed about this epiode? First of all, yes, the Riverdale writers shouldn't do any more musical episodes. Because well, its just bad, like horrifyingly terrible. But I really don't understand the "Bughead" Stans here complaining about Barchie. They definitely have chemistry and you could see them coming together earlier or later since the first season. And if you say you stop watching because of the cheating, well I really can't help you anymore. This show contains drug and alcohol abuse, murder, violence, a whole lot of sex and if Barchie now makes you so upset that you have to leave, you should have stopped watching probably two seasons ago.

All I can say is that I feel bad for the actors. The writing is horrific and the storylines just get more and more bizarre. Lots of misogyny. Terrible.
