Another jump forward in time, and Livia is both married to Gaius and pregnant again. A large amount of the episode is occupied with political wheelings and dealings in the senate. Livia finds herself needing to defend Antigone after she assaults a noble heir: a controversial move given Antigone's previous occupation. I feel like that story might continue to unfold.

"Dominia" reminds me of the HBO show "Rome", which really began the avalanche of historical dramas featuring plenty of nudity and sex.

Good to see Claire Forlani - who has always been one of my favourites - appearing in "Domina" as Octavia. And Oliver Dench, whose great aunt is Dame Judy, also appears.

family and power

A ( too) large family, politics, rivalries, power, turtles ( poor turtles ! ) and , in essence, the beginning of story. A good episode to see in the perspective of near events. And good jobs of Kassia Smutniak and. Matthew McNulty , precious gift of episode being Darrell D' Silva as Piso. Claire Forlani as beautiful Octavia.
