France society evolution, through women fights
johnpierrepatrick9 March 2020
This documentary gives a a real depth to the subject, by starting in 1918, after World War I. It is often forgotten that the women were always an important topic for a nation and politics. Its main role is to repopulate the country after wars - they are even designed as responsible for not making any future soldiers. And, of course, manage the house for the man. World war II did not change much, but one thing. They finally have the right to vote, which make them now voters to seduce. The baby boom generation did not miss that chance and used that new power to begin to change this man-dominated world.

A few other main topics are shown: childbirth, that completely changed in one century. And, a fact that is still extremely sensible nowadays, the right to dispose from its body and to have a child.

A few weaknesses: raising so many topics, and trying to follow some specific family generation of women makes it a bit too dense and difficult to follow.
