From the first scene itself, you can easily guess the climax of the movie, but what makes this movie interesting is it's good screenplay and storytelling and beautiful visuals.

Priya looks gorgeous in every scene and has scored well in acting too, Harish & Anish Kuruvilla too has done really well.

Although some of the comedy scenes were very good, there are too many drinking scenes, which could have been better avoided. This aspect makes the film unsuitable for family audiences.

Although message of the movie - "Follow your heart" has been portrayed in many movies, light weight approach of this movie makes it different. If they have avoided those drinking scenes, it would have even collected good amount of money in theatres.

Oh Manapenne is a film that is perfectly made for the OTT platform - which would otherwise be a TV Series or a YouTube short film.

No twists/turns, no complex narratives, no swirling cameras, the film is as linear as a line, plain and not so compelling. Yawning will take an active part while you are watching this film. There will neither be any reason for the characters to do what they do nor any explanation be provided by the narrative.

The comedy falls flat, acting is so synthetic and dubbing is awful. Although, the film is well made for what it's worth. We feel a sense of relief by the end of the film.

A feel good romantic comedy after a long time. I haven't seen the Telugu version so will not be able to say if it is ripped frame to frame. The casting is perfect and the actors don't overdo the dramatics. The only place I felt cringy (and harassing) was the part where Arjun (Ashwin) tries to woo Sruthi (Priya). The background sound processing / recording was spot on. Happy to see there are no item songs or distasteful scenes (Thanks to the director for keeping it clean). And, skip to 3:15 seconds on OTT platforms to get directly into the movie. The opening credits kept going on and on and on. Overall, a good movie that is watchable but not sure if it will have repeat viewing potential unless you have the blues (or have been recently dumped).

The film is a worthy remake that is as charming and delightful. Good direction and Harish performance is great. Super hit and fantastic. Don't miss the faithful entertainer.

Watched the film with no expectations. Cheesy popcorn flick...worth onetime watch. Decent performance by all cast. Predictable climax. Lead has good chemistry.

It's a usual love story but with a brilliant script. Movie wasn't lagging at any time. You know what's going to happen but you will enjoy watching every minute of it. Very nice.

It felt slightly like a modified version of 3 idiots in the end when they present it about doing the work we're passionate about.

And I think this was the factor that made this film slightly different and now imagine taking this concept out of this film and it becomes one of those poorly made Tamil films. The heroine is something in this film as you cannot take your eyes away from watching her beauty.

Do the work you're passionate about and you'll never feel like working, ok now go & sleep.

This film might be a turn point in Harish Kalyan's career. A good Romantic Comedy film. Such a great remake and Songs and BGM were good. I gave 9/10 because the scenes between Bodhai Kaname song and climax were boring. Other scenes were nice and Anbuthasan's role was nice and good to see Venu Aravind as a comedian.

Though being a usual rom-com , acting performances were very genuine.....very well equipped script 7 d supporting casts especially heroes frnd comedy timing sounds very gud in my home overall it is a family entertainer ...............To b precisely this is a bigscreen film which has 2 b released in theatres

A simple, yet highly enjoyable film. Oh Mannepenne doesn't have superhero special affects or plot twists left, right and center. What it does have is a simple, elegant and beautiful stoeyline. A simple mistake in addresses during an arranged marriage meeting and Karthik and Shruthi have the chance to meet. Combine that with her room door getting stuck and we have a great start to the movie. The story follows them both trying to make the best of their current situation after past failures in love and business.

Two people, meeting by accident, starting a food truck together and the rest is history. As I said a simple, elegant and yet entertaining storyline. Not to mention that Shruthi and Karthik make a wonderful couple, arguing, insults and all.

Harish Kalyan who plays Karthik is just perfect for the role. He makes a very good looking jobless, drunk and later chef and successful entrepreneur. Class acting and enjoyable performance from him. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays Shruthi. She is extremely beautiful, highly talented and makes her character into the beautiful, smart entrepreneur that she is. Her acting is perfect whether its showing her character in love, pissed off at Karthik yet again or sad and withdrawn. Priya pulls it all off perfectly! The rest of the supporting cast all do good jobs including Priya's and Karthik's friends who share the screen with then many times through the movie.

The songs are lovely as well, though there is no big feature song or dance performance like there is in many Indian movies.

Oh Mannepenne is a simple movie which delivers exactly what you would expect but will still have you loving every second of it. Sometimes simplicity is truly the best way forward. The movie gets a 9/10 from me, though I nearly gave it a 6/10 when I thought that Shruthi and Karthik weren't going to end up together. In the end all was good and I loved every minute of it.

This movie is a full entertainer to laugh a lot. I am seeing this movie in 2023 but the great flavor of the movie doesn't vanished. A great feel good movie with a charming love story. The story tells about the love with our family should quite good and souls must be connected. In this drama the hero is supposed be told as nontalented and after his meet with heroine he comes to know about each other. The parents of hero and heroine both are not understanding the talents of them but the both couples get them a lot about each other. Because of their understanding about them , they succeed in their business and although in life they into love. Finally the film gives us more positive vibe that all the things in the world has their own value, if it has been realized it will shine throughout.

I watched and excited the Telugu blockbuster film 'Pelli Choopulu (2016)'. That film is also remade in Mitron (2018) in Hindi and Vijay Superum Pournamiyum (2019) in Malayalam. That remakes are also better.

I can't accept remaking that film in Tamil as 'Oh Manapenne! (2021)'. Characters of this film is worse than stage drama. Actor and actress selection is wrong. I can't accept the making of this Tamil version as a runtime in 2 hours 20 minutes. This film is too boring to watch. This is also an unnecessary build-up. I have been very disappointed after release of this film. This film could have been taken as 30 minute short film starring newcomer stars.

This is another 'Boring film' in Disney+ Hotstar Original films in 2021 after Bhoomi and Annabelle Sethupathi. If this film is release in theatres then it will be utter flop.

Please don't waste your time and money to watch this 'soora mokka' film.
