  Lana Lang Cushing : We got lied to just like everyone else. Just like you lied when you said you were gonna help us.

  Mayor Dean : Why don't you and I go talk somewhere else?

  Lana Lang Cushing : You said you were gonna set the record straight, and all you're doing is covering your ass so you don't feel the blowback come election time.

  Mayor Dean : I'm doing what's best for the town.

  Lana Lang Cushing : You're doing what's best for you at the expense of *my* family, and for that, shame on you.

  Lois Lane : Deputy, if Lana didn't even know it was private property, then I'm sure the kids didn't, either, and I promise you, there's a world of just unimaginable horror that awaits my son for skipping school.

  Lois Lane : [cut to them leaving the station]  Just because she let two go with a warning doesn't mean it didn't happen.

  Lana Lang Cushing : You know what? Let's just, um, call it a night. Start fresh tomorrow, okay?

  Kyle Cushing : Yeah.
