Peacock is finally ready to show the world Ted, its event series from Seth MacFarlane.
All seven episodes of Ted, including a supersized premiere, will debut Jan. 11, 2024 on the streamer. The event series serves as a prequel to the film franchise and will take fans on a “hilarious R-rated nostalgic journey back to the 90s,” according to Peacock.
The fresh cast of characters include Max Burkholder (Parenthood), Alanna Ubach (Euphoria), Scott Grimes (The Orville) and Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why) while MacFarlane will continue to voice Ted.
Peacock first made the straight-to-series order for Ted in 2021.
Here’s the logline: “It’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Grimes and Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John,...

Netflix is the king of the streaming world until proven otherwise. But in recent months the streamer’s lists of new releases have looked relatively sparse as competing media conglomerates remove their titles from Netflix’s library. With its list of new releases for April 2021, however, Netflix appears to have its original production machine operating at high capacity once again.
There are plenty of intriguing Netflix original series and films this month. The one that appears to have the highest blockbuster potential though is the series Shadow and Bone on April 23. Shadow and Bone is adapted from Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha-verse trilogy and should bring another compelling sci-fi/fantasy universe to the streaming world.

"He can dive into my river. We'll keep it classy." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for an indie romantic comedy titled Just Say Yes from The Netherlands, made by filmmakers Appie Boudellah & Aram van de Rest. The incurable romantic Lotte, played by Spanish-Dutch model / actor Yolanthe Cabau, finds her life upended when her plans for a picture-perfect wedding unravel when the groom decides to cancel last minute -- just as her self-absorbed sister gets engaged. She reconnects with her friends to figure out what's next. It's already being compared with other romcoms like Runaway Bride and Bridesmaids. The film is coming to Netflix this spring and stars Jim Bakkum, Noortje Herlaar, Nienke Plas, Tino Martin, Kim-Lian van der Meij, Josylvio, Pip Pellens, and others. This looks like amusing girl-power Dutch romance fun. Here's the official trailers (+ poster) for Boudellah & van de Rest's Just Say Yes, from Netflix's YouTube: In Just Say Yes,...
