I was able to see this virtually through the Beeston Film Festival. "Coming to Light" is an excellent short film about a young man facing his experience of being sexually abused as a young child. The metaphorical "monster" he secretly carries with him is portrayed as a huge cloaked demon, always lurking in his background. Despite the fact that the film is only eight minutes long, it masterfully captures a feeling of fear, dread and isolation throughout its running time.

Impressive is the high dose of realism of the story. A fair, proper, inspired film about sexual abuse touches in time, transforming the life, giving a sort of coexistence not only with the painful memories but a sort of guilty. Short, just interesting.
