Since the he show is set in LA, I don't understand why people are upset they are taking about racial profiling. It's amazing they have gone this long without talking about it. For them to not talk about it with the current event, would be very unrealistic.
Although, I thought Gemma's "realization" of why some police beat up black people and her quick answer to her son Grover was a bit jarring.
However, The scene between Calvin and Dave in the truck was hopefully educational for many. The scene between Calvin and his son Malcolm on the street was very touching and stated the words that many people of color, especially blacks have felt for decades.
Overall, I thought the episode did a great job of balancing real world events with real emotion and provide a bit of levity.
