I thought it was a really good start to season 2. Gave me a really good idea of where Dave is mentally and how his relationship to mike has developed.
I want to mention how important Gata's perspective is in this episode. There were so many moments that were either elevated or brought back down to earth by something he says or does. So well done.
I also really enjoyed how they wrote Dave's character. You really see how selfish and out of touch he is in this episode. There are several moments of cringe but they're really funny and even quite surprising.
I don't know anything about K-Pop but Korea was a really interesting setting that offered a lot of good moments and plot points involving cultural differences.
There is a lot crammed into this episode. Also the energy was stressful and gave my girlfriend a lot of anxiety so keep that in mind if you think it's gonna be lighthearted.

Season 1 went out with such a bang I had maybe set my expectations for this episode a bit too sky high. Still entertaining but both Episodes 1 and 2 are carrying a very heavy darkness. Still an avid fan but hope the tone picks up some.
What happened? Sharp drop-off.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season and found it hilarious. The second season is off to a rough, and rather boring, start. Hoping it picks up a bit. I was pumped when I heard season 2 was released. Much less pumped after watching this episode. I'll probably go back to it eventually, but this episode at least was nowhere near on par with season 1. It almost feels like they rushed it out or something.
