From VCA Pictures, this romance exemplifies the ability to make a "real movie" loaded with explicit sex, very well-acted by top talent, that was routine back at the turn of the century, but rendered obsolete today thanks to the gonzo revolution. With a cast headed by the terrific Kylie Ireland and Chloe it's manna from heaven for Couples audiences.
Title is explained early on, as the engaged couple of Kylie and Steven St. Croix head for an inn located in scenic countryside to have their wedding. Inn is owned by Kelsey Heart and run by Chloe, and coincidentally with the wedding they've booked a convention of swingers. Certainly a natural for a porn narrative, and in a rom-com reveal, Kelsey recognizes the name on the hotel registration book, and greets her husband of 10 years back -St. Croix, shocked to see her again. She drops the bomb on him: she never completed the divorce papers and they're still married!
Steven is forced to lie to his fiancee Kylie, but gets on the horn to his lawyer Todd (Ian Daniels) back in NYC to straighten out the situation and make it possible to get married this weekend.
A slow pace makes for a long movie, with very sensual sex scenes woven into the narrative. A terrific set piece has Chloe guiding innocent Kylie (something of a role stretch for the oversexed redhead superstar) into the world of swinging, as she blindfolds Ireland and has her participate in accelerating sex in threesome with larger than life performers Zana and Lee Stone.
