Alot happens - SPOILERS
mental-micky12 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
ALOT happens in the finale - considering how excellent and well paced the show has been since s01e01, I'm not sure I liked this.

The general vibe and feel of the episode is much the same as it has ever been for the past 2 seasons, until around 3/4 of the way into the episode - then we get an end to the Stormcloud storyline, as the good guys prevail - or so we're lead to believe...

Then it just ramps up - In the final quarter of the episode, the following happens...

We discover the Stormcloud storyline hasn't ended and the heroes were duped, characters shift alliances, Stormcloud is activated and all hope is lost, Stormcloud is contained and hope prevails once again, Arthur tops himself, another significant charater "dies", there's a 6 month time jump, the Ravens attack London, "Bryce?" Wayne is born (that's not gonna go down well with the masses!), then just as the Ravens appear to have defeated London, Pennyworth and co show up to win the day, with a previously dead character as the series' first full-on "Super" now part of the team!

Whoa!

Remember this is a DC show

Warning: Spoilers
Ok yes so the show for the most part has been grounded in reality except for storm cloud itself. And yes that final scene was a little ridiculous but in a good way, I myself liked it. The show is still part of the DC Batman mythos and I always expected it would eventually get fo be more on the weird and "super" type stuff so I'm a little surprised other people didnt. As for the baby, seriously calm down the show is not necessarily saying the girl is who will become i guess Batwoman? In place of Bruce. In fact I had a thought that either she would be a new sister character to Bruce or a darker thought that she would die at some point before Bruce is born. I'm hoping for the lighter thought cuz even in fiction I dont want a child especially a baby to die. Plus we arent anywhere near the point of Alfred wanting to hang up his guns and move to America and be the Wayne's butler. In the comics Alfie was already working for them when Bruce was born but as we saw the show is doing it's own thing. It got renewed for season 3 so I guess we will see.

[7.6] Walk don't run

Warning: Spoilers
To my surprise, that was a well-done finale with many satisfying stuff. It's DC cheesy in a good way, especially the final scene. Walk don't run!

In a time of too serious shows during COVID I was thankful for this episode!

Ok, So the baby has me confused..you'll see why after watching this episode.

But this entire episode and especially the rather comedic ending just made me smile.

After the last year we've all had I certainly have to give props to any show that sets out to do just that, as I'm sure was the whole point here..to be left feeling GOOD!

Laughably Awful

I mean, you really had to ruin the whole thing just like that, huh? Especially, such a low level of inconsistency was really unexpected.

Hurried and silly ending with only one saving grace
yuri01-126 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I suspect that this series will be explained away as being part of the DC multiverse and not part of the Arrowverse.

That said, it's as though the writers felt that this series won't be renewed. So, they decided to wrap things up regardless of how implausible or far removed from reality it all seems. Then, they threw in a twist for good measure with the Wayne's first-born not being Bruce. Let's just say "multiverse" to ourselves a few times.

For instance, Troy goes from being a violent psycho to a hero who saves London and could turn the war around. That he isn't killed outright by the Stormcloud solution he swallows - yes, you read that right - is only out done by him being turned into a walking death machine. It seems that the possibility that he could be shot dead on the battlefield doesn't seem to occur to any strategists. After all, why hold him at the rear crafting canisters of poison that could be rapidly spread far and wide?

Then there's Frances Gaunt who just assumes the leadership of the Ravens without anyone questioning it that we can see. Sure, she's from a noble lineage, but the other aristorcratic members of the Raven Council would probably have their eye on the prize as well.

The saving graces are the touching scenes between Mary and Arthur Pennyworth towards the end of the episode. Arthur gets to go to the grave knowing that she thought he was important and useful and he was loved.

If it turns out that there is a third season, the writers will have a lot of work to do to bring things back to a believable state.

What a shame....

How to spoil a whole two seasons by just getting silly. That's what happens when you leave the script writers to their own devices for 5 mins. Where was the Director? Won't be in a hurry to see S3 now.

Jumped the shark

Warning: Spoilers
Overall the series gets an 8. The ending, however, was pitiful.

I can't even begin to describe how lame. A person ingests all of storm cloud, survives, and is turned into a mechanical man that shoots stormcloug streams to kill the enemy.

WITH VCUUM TUBES ON HIS ARMS NO LESS Nothing like binge watching a series and have the ending leave a bad taste.

What on Earth

Warning: Spoilers
I understand this is set within the Batman 'Mythos'.

But Holy Moly.

Gulliver Troy becomes a Meta Human WTF.

This was so grounded & brilliant.

All the respect I had for this show just died.

What just happened...
fireheart-0477811 April 2021
The whole season was slow paced and not really enticing. The penultimate episode finally showed promise, only for the finale to disappoint.

A lot of things happened too quickly in succession and the big build up to Stormcloud over 2 seasons is played off as a comical plot device.

Characters were all over the place with their motives changing ever so quickly. I honestly don't see anything coming from season 3. They should stop before they further embarrass themselves.
