If 'Epic Gameshow' was ITV's mission to try to find Alan Carr a format he could revive long-term then I'm sorry to say that their mission is proving to be an impossible one, as 'Strike It Lucky' proves to be more of a strike out.
Michael Barrymore did this show with such aplomb, having winning rapport with the contestants, and flying around the set.
In contrast Carr looks lost. He can't do the interaction with contestant without reverting to mocking them, and looks tired by the moving, as well as a format that I don't think suits him.
Carr looked so natural on 'Chatty Man' for all those years, and none of these formats have allowed him to do so again thus far.
