I seem to remember that the winner was a young lad who called himself "Jerus" because he liked wearing Jerusalem sandals. He played the guitar and sang in a folksy style, something like Bob Dylan or Donovan. I was only 11 or 12 at the time so memories are a bit hazy. It struck me that Kaye was perhaps not all that comfortable with it all and that some of his enthusiasm was a bit forced - but I could be wrong.
