I cannot put into words how much I loved this episode. But I don't wanna write an essay so I'm just gonna talk about the music scene. It was... sublime: we see the same scenes as before, but now 33 years have passed for us, we've seen the complete cycle and now the main characters inverted!
1 - The Stranger meets Jonas, except the Stranger is now our Jonas
2 - Noah meets Bartosz, except we've being following Noah now
3 - Claudia meets younger Claudia, but now we're following Older Claudia
4 - The Stranger meets Jonas, but now we've seen him stranded in the wasteland for 33 years
5 - Noah finds out the truth, but now we're with him
6 - Jonas and Martha finally meet and Adam kills her, but now... we've been following Adam...
I'm actually crying right now after rewatching that scene. I can't express with words how much I love it. It's incredible, it's unbelievable, it's sublime. Might be my favorite episode/scene ever, of anything really! Maybe I'm going too far, but it really impacted me

You wanted answers? this is the episode for you.
I just could not believe how amazingly crafted this tv show was.
I'm in shock with the showrunner who knew how to write everything, and make it feel like everything in this show had a purpose.
I am thrilled.

Darker than any darkness!!

MY PERSONAL FAVORITE TV EPISODE OF ALL TIME!

Warning: Spoilers
I respect the creators so much for this. Wow.
How could anyone manage to write this? HOW? It takes the brain of Einstein and the heart of Shakespear to come up with this intelligent yet heart breaking-warming of a story.
Amazingly pasted this episode tells us EVERYTHING we have to know before season 1 even started! It studies the characters and their arcs and purposes like NO OTHER episode the show had!
Some major twists happen! Tragic events! Seeing Ulrich's life being destroyed all over again. Helge as a kid wounded. Hannah being killed by her own son or what is left of him. Silja dying giving birth to Agnes. Noah dying again and again. Martha dying agaian and agaian. Claudia dying again and again.
Everything repeats itself until it doesn't!
Then comes Claudia with that perfect cliffhanger for the finale.
And there I thought they had not done Claudia justice. The exact moment I thought well she was the MAIN protagonist of season 2 WHY THE HELL DID SHE NOT HAVE A BIGGER ROLE IN THIS SEASON? that exact moment she reapears to claim the title for the wisest character most badass character and ofc the best time traveler! Someone who actually figured it out!!!!
Claudia Tidemen Ladies and Gentlemen !!!
This episode will go down as one of the best episodes of all time and it literally deserves it!
Well played Dark. Well played!

I don't understand some of the negative reviews i've been seeing but maybe they were just not paying attention to the story. Anyway this episode is probably the best and most climatic episode of the entire series. The sequences from 1888-2052 was magnificently done. The connection was done beautifully and it all made sense on why/when/how/what/where happened in the past 2 seasons. I applaud the writers and director for creating this episode a masterpiece.
The Entire Cycle...

The Cycle..The Beginning....The End
Everything, the entire loop is explained, How the characters have come into existence, How the characters have faced their end. This episode answers most of the questions we have from the first episode. The last 10 min sequence shows us the events from season 1 where the questions and suspense began and giving a meaningful answer for them..Yet there are few questions which are to be answered with the finale...
One episode all the answers 🖤 Everything will be connected in this one
khanosama-9536027 June 2020
This episode will answer all the questions from the Jonas' world. It will explain everything that has happened from 1888 to 2052. Every decision made leading to the determined faith which we all are familiar with. Hope the season finale will answer remaining questions from alternate world and finally the loop will be broken 🖤
GERMANY THANK YOU !!!

Everything is connected.
The question is not where but when, but it's not when neither, it's which dimension, but it's not which dimension neither, it's how, but it's not how neither, it's How and for god's sake WHY?
"Between the Time" answered the question: How? Partially, at the very least.
And in the next and the final episode, I'm sure we will get the answer of: How and Why?

Such an amazing episode. To be able to masterfully showcase so many events that were previously left untold in just over an hour is just incredible. There is no other show like this. Cant wait to watch the season finale!!!

Claudia is a key character and she's one of my favorites and she killed her older self from the parallel world to find a way to make her daughter live and she does not trust both sides. I don't know why but I root for Jonas instead of the older Martha although he strives for total annihiltion.
Writers are breaking their own rules
petewood-599512 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I love this show, but the last two episodes have been underwhelming and just frustrating. The writers have committed two sins. First, they are breaking all the rules they set up just so they can keep blowing our minds. If there are no rules, then it's really hard to sustain dramatic tension. Anything can happen. That's a cheat. Second, the characters aren't consistent. For example, Noah in season one came across as this menacing evil type. Now, we discover that he didn't want to do any of Adam's dirty work and that he hated Adam. Fair enough, except that none of that came across in his performance. The show seems to prefer characters come across as creepy sometimes rather than realistic. Some sense of Noah's humanity in the first season instead of going all in on menacing would have made this episode's reveal easier to take. And, one more thing--there have been no explanations for how the characters continually know exactly when to pop in and change things. A little bit too coincidental and convenient for the plot.
Utterly disappointed

Are most reviews fake or what? This is NOT "the greatest episode in TV history". The episode was garbage. I kept rolling my eyes and my frustration blowing out of proportion with the stupid choices characters made here.
Why would Jonas ever want to kill his mum? Why would old Martha be so cruel? It actually makes no sense and the explanations given are not clever , are cheap and ridiculous. This episode has reminded me of the awful Game of Thrones finale. Writers never know how to finish a series in a good way.....
PS: I haven't seen the finale yet. I have little hopes after this episode but let's see what happens.
It blew my mind

It is an emotional episode. The characters face their destiny. And in many cases it is a dark fate.
A chapter full of answers. We went a long way to get here and now we understand much more. But there is still a sea to know.
For its power it could work as an ending. But there are still questions to answer.
The most revealing episode

The show's best episode
santigs-866273 July 2020
Magnificent episode. The sequence between 1888 and 2053 was a masterpiece. We had already understood a lot in these 3 seasons, but this episode explains every single detail and how everything happened. The writers and director are not from this planet. BEST TV SERIES EVER.
Hands down one of the best Dark episodes
tgross-9235128 July 2020
Up until this point, anyone watching is probably pretty certain there's no way to wrap up all the loose ends, and answer all the unanswered questions. However, this episode does it and it does it extremely well and sets up the final episode perfectly. This is the episode where everything "clicks".
Everything is interwined.
rajputabhinavsingh5 July 2020
Screenplay, cinematography, storyline everything it is just perfect. Absolutely the best ever in terms of science fiction and time travel. Mind blowing and mind bending. Just perfect. No loose ends. Really beautiful.
Never Believe Anything Else .
What a mess of a show
nicofreezer28 October 2021
The acting is decent but nothing exceptionnal, directing is good, but man the story is complete mess they just repeat the same things all over again for more than 20 épisodes now. Guys i think we ALL get it now, just find an end to this non logical stupid mess.
6/10 for the good directing But the story cannot be more boring.

Questions unanswered and incomplete plot
gcpeccis28 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The plot is suddenly resolved leaving some important questions unanswered for me: why had Noah killed the children in the first world during the first season? Why had he sent their dead bodies to the future? Why had Jonas decided that old Charlotte and old Elizabeth from the future, kidnapped baby Charlotte (herself and Elizabeth daughter) and delivered her to the watchmaker? It doesn't make sense to me: what was the point?
The conclusions of the creation of the two worlds from the real world seems hasty. How could ever Claudia conclude the creation of the two worlds was provoked by the watchmaker from an unique only true world? (Even if she had traveled between the two worlds ruled by Adam and Eve, we can't see how she could have imagine there was a third world, and it was the real one). Sorry, I didn't enjoy the final season as much as I had expected.
THE BEGINNING IS THE END
