Mical Rak, what a lucky lady. She manages to survive the attempt to kill her.

She ends up recovering in Richard Bauer's apartment. I thought a hospital would be a better place.

Unfortunately some of Bauer's secret service colleagues are not so fortunate.

They are made out by Kessler's people and meet a sticky end.

As for Kessler, his sentimentality about his late wife leads to trouble. Along with the inadvisable television interview. His handlers want Kessler kept away from Germany.

It still feels like a second rate Le Carre thriller. Just a bit too average when the series that spawned Kessler was so highly regarded.

Nothing new happens.

Dorff sits quietly and comfortably in his London Hotel, as the secret service observe him from a nearby post, meanwhile more accidents occur to his enemies.

I'm really wanting to enjoy this series, I truly did find the premise of the show so interesting, the concept of Kessler using his money to hide in plain sight, his money giving him power, it's an idea that is so relevant today, but, the production is so painfully slow.

Episodes two and three could very easily have been condensed down into one, there's just nothing of any interest happening here, they loose Kessler, they find him, then they loose him again.

The dialogue is so interesting, rattling on about coffee and groceries, it's such a boring script.

I did love the scenes of a busy 1980's London, the cars, buses, fashions etc, truly a visual feast, very probably the best element of the show.

Hard work, 5/10.
