Not sure if it is just me but something bad is happening to documentary narration. It seems anybody is allowed to narrate nowadays, whether they actually have a talent for it or not. Its either done in a disjointed way, with gaps in sentences that are not natural, or in a monotone way with the obligatory upward inflection at the end of each sentence, that's painful to listen to. I end up using subtitles and the mute button.
