Stranded astronauts Mac (Frank Aletter) and Hector (Jack Mullaney) are attempting to set up home in their cave dwelling. Caveman Boss (Cliff Norton) says they must either join the tribe or leave. The men must complete the tribal ritual of pulling a tooth from a dinosaur. Gronk (Joe E. Ross) and Shad (Imogene Coca) help to train Mac and Hector. They're led to the edge of the jungle where the two trek inside, coming upon two dinosaurs and provoke them to fight one another. Soon a tooth comes rolling in front of the men, complete with a cavity. They bring back the trophy to be told it is only the first part of the initiation. For the second part, they must be hunted and avoid capture by Boss and Clon (Mike Mazurki). Mac and Hector plant a walkie-talkie on them so they will know their every move. The tables turn when the cavemen unknowingly hit a button that switches it to hear the astronauts every word in planning.

This engaging episode was directed by Jack Arnold who worked extensively with creator Sherwood Schwartz on his other shows "Gilligan's Island" and "The Brady Bunch". Arnold is known for his atmospheric direction of 1950s science fiction films including "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" and "It Came from Outer Space".
