This episode begins with Pope, JJ and Kiara, they made a memorial place for John B on the tree. Sarah her funeral is today, but she is still alive. The Captain locked up John and Sarah. John and Sarah got off the boat when they arrived on the Bahamas. JJ, Pope and Kiara discovered that Sarah and John are still alive. Sarah got ubducted by Terrance. Cleo captured John. Sarah gave some gold to Terrance. Gavin got Rafe his murder weapon, he blackmails Ward with it. Sarah opened the gold safe, the police arrived. John and Sarah got locked up by Terrance. Terrance, Stubbs and Cleo escaped. Nice Episode of Outer Banks Season 2, a really nice start of the season. A lot of action and drama!

While the show keeps its summer feel and feel of escapism, it goes backwards in many ways. John B and Sarah are now thinking of getting married, at 16, after having known each other less than a year. Seems pointless. Rafe, who was the most well written character in the first season, just becomes psychopathic instead of the kid who's desperate for his father's approval. They had potential to make him a complex and somewhat sympathetic character, but they just wanna make him crazy because crazy is cool. John B scales Sarah's family's mansion and conveniently the door is unlocked. Then, when they go back, the door locks from the outside? So many things are far too convenient. On top of that, the teen drama was simply far too dramatic. Overall, underwhelming sadly.

I don't even think I want to keep watching. This is a far cry from the quality of the first season. Everyone just seems a lot dumber in this episode. The dialogue really dropped in quality, with some pointless moments that added nothing to the story, and there was at least seven minutes of useless scenes (mostly romantic) that really did nothing for the plot. I guess I'll try another but my hopes and expectations have fallen drastically.
I feel sorry for the actors

The actors do this for their careers. They take jobs when they come. I have to give kudos to most of them for trying so hard to make the awful writing work in some form. The absurd plot has to make at least a few of the actors go "Really?"

I was excited for the second season and really wanted to like it but the eye rolling that Kie's dumb actions gave me really took me out of the experience. Like seriously she can't shut up for one second and not give themselves away while they're still at the scene IN HIDING, CAPTURING CRITICAL EVIDENCE?? Honestly I'm mad just thinking about it. And then she still acts superior about everything and keeps yelling at them for screwing things up 🙄 just honestly a lot of conveniently stupid decisions all around by all the characters and the whole town for not noticing all the constant buffoonery happening loudly in plain sight.
