A nice journey.

I enjoyed very much this journey through the Pyrenean mountains: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

There are some interesting aspects of this region: the Pyrenean mountains (the village of Eus with its extraordinary sunshine, Etienne Schaller and the growing of citrus trees-800-1000 varities of citrus-, the village of Loudenvielle nd its hot springs, Claire Bourg-the manager of the thermal resort-, the "bar-tabac chez Roge"- a place of meeting and friendliness), the Pic du Midi (the arrival by cable-car, Renaud-the chef of the restaurant- the story of the observatory, the Bernard Lyot telescope-the investigation of the magnetism of the stars-), the life in the village of Sarrance (Ludovic and Jean-François and the "café-restaurant", the cooking of the garbure, Bernard and Violaine and the butchery-the double-gras and black pudding), the winter in the Pyrenean mountains (a huge snowfall in Font-Romeu, the firemen cutting the fallen trees on the access road, the Citadel of Mont-Louis and the French army organizing skiing practices, the railway track from Mont-Louis to Villefranche de Conflent- Thierry and Jérôme and their locomotive with snow plow, the cutting of the fallen trees on the track) , the "Cité scolaire de Pierre de Coubertin at Font-Romeu (the creation of a training center for the Olympic games of Mexico, the study and the daily training, Hugo-the free style skier- and Chloé-the fast track ice skater-) and the rivalry between Font-Romeu and Luchon-Superbagnères (two ski resort at 1800 meters above sea level, Claude and Dédé, the skiing coaches, the first ski lift- the opening of the hotel of Font-Romeu in 1932, Mathieu and his investigations about Luchon-Superbagnères., the rack railway and the first ski lift at this place).

I enjoyed very much the encounters of Tiga with Marc Coffinet at Castelnou, with Jean-François Miniez-the paper artist, with Joël Mené, Jean-Luc Magenti and Jérôme Dubet at Villefranche-de-Conflent, with Laurent Richard at Saint-Lary-Soulan, , with Patrice and Jean-Michel Coustalat , with the confectioner Francis Aguillon and the chef David Ertortegui at Cauterets, nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
