Entertaining

Show is funny at times. What the show lacks is 'truth' about this business. I've been reselling and have a very profitable business for close to a decade. The show has a way of making you think that buying and selling pallets of merchandise is easy. I've seen many people lose a lot of money because they have zero knowledge of what they are purchasing or try to resell on a part time basis, with very little effort. Please watch the show for what it is......entertainment!

I'm not much of a businessman (AT ALL), but...

I'm relatively sure you can't count profits until after you've actually successfully sold merchandise and have the money.

The entire premise of this show is that these people buy pallets of unsold and/or returned merchandise and assume they'll be able to resell the items at or near MSRP. I mean, even Multilevel Marketing scams convince people that the products they're trying to sell are worth something. In this case these people are buying stuff that has proven to be worthless on the open market and they get pats on the back if the worthless junk they've gotten is worth more than what they paid when NO ONE PAID FOR THE STUFF TO BEGIN WITH.

I could feel brain cells popping like bubble wrap in my skull watching this.

Corny, Misleading
BlackDog-359256 August 2020
Saw 2 episodes, it's good for a hearty laugh on the corny close ups and bad overacting. What they fail to tell you are the prices they show are for items still selling along with all the unsold competition from others also buying pallet castoffs, NOT what is actually sold. Wait till they start putting their overstock junk and savaged/ returned items with missing parts on 40% to 60% sales. Oh wait, they have selling fees too if selling online. Oh, they forget to remind you their homes are completely hoarded with boxes or are paying leases, utilities, security, rodent control and travel cost to their junk pile storage warehouses. PLUS don't forget they must pay the IRS at the end of the year unless you are selling at your never ending yard sales or flea market. The neighbors must love that! Do they keep sales receipts for that type of selling? Hum...

So So So Bad, Waste of Time
hotroadsternm13 August 2020
If I could give a rating below one star, I would. Everything about this show is just bad. I will never get my time back from watching this nonsense. How about showing what money they really make selling this junk? Any knucklehead can pay a fortune, open boxes of returned junk and do surprised faces in the camera. Who thought this show would be believable? Too much time wasted on really really bad attempts at comedy. OK, watch this if you aspire to be a cheesy flea market CEO.

We liked it

As others have pointed out, it's true that you can't expect to buy pallets of goods and resell everything at full MSRP. Maybe you could list things on eBay or somewhere, but it's going to take time and then you'll have postage and boxes etc. Eating into profits, plus it's consuming your time. If you operate a brick and mortar store, then that's eating up profits too. Factor in that sometimes the pallet is a dud and so on, and you wonder how many of them make money. So I don't see it as a viable business plan, but like "Storage Wars" some may have the knack and will do ok. For many it's a get-rich-quick scheme that will fail. All that said, it's entertaining to see how much they paid vs. What's in the pallet.

Another misleading TV show
nicojj-520225 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Watched 2 episodes and couldn't continue, if I say Storage Wars is meh, this one should be throw into the ocean. First, the editing is pathetic, you barely get 2 mins into one couple then it's moving to another one. Not that it is really worth watching for the whole section of that couple but still, really bad editing. Second, seriously, what's the purpose of the show? They are probably lost too. Buy bulk, open, randomly check online for "selling price" then mark their profit. That's so old. As a person who did storage auctions, and I am very picky about the ones I buy, I made some money, but about 80% of the stuff is junk. You can't just look up things and say ok I can sell this for this price and this is my profit, maybe cut 50% off, plus the time to list them online, dealing with buyers questions, then shipping. I felt so embarrassed to pick this show after a movie on a Friday night, because it is so shallow. Even storage wars shows you what they found, some were just set up in there but they would go test one thing or two to show the value. I understand the goods in this show is different but gosh, watching people buy bulk from a low rating scam website, watching them faking how much money they can make, ignoring how much junk they have in their house/warehouse/store is just painful. Not to mention there is nothing else in this show, all you got is to see people buy bulk junk, open them, pick out things and look up retail value, then come up with their own value or even just go with that retail value then say "oh this is the profit I'm making". It's just like you are having a garage sale and you are telling yourself everything will get sold then here is my price so I will make 2000 on my garage sale. In real life you make 300 maybe. I saw the description of the show, I thought at least they would open the boxes, check everything, maybe find one or two things that is worth to watch for the audience, then see how much they can really sell those things for and maybe learn something like "market trend" or how to tell the value of something (with the help of Google and their experience). But no, just totally spins you around, jumping from one team to another before you realize it, open box, say "ok I can sell this for this price" then show you their investment amount and "profit". Boring, shallow, and sad. In addition, anyone who wants to try this website, check their reviews first, seriously, that website is probably one of the lowest review website I've ever seen. Not to mention basically the show is just like 20mins commercial for a scam website.

Underrated show-Very entertaining
Zilla909 September 2020
All around great show. Very entertaining. Buying from these stores at such a discounted rate is amazing and being able to watch how they do it is incredibly interesting. Somehow they manage to take what they do for a living and make it into something very funny. I personally enjoy the team with Chuck and Chris.
